Reporting to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and working in collaboration with the Academic Registrar and Dean of Research and Knowledge Exchange, staff and academic departments, the post holder supports our endeavours to deliver a high quality, inclusive and consistent academic experience for all students, enhancing student engagement, academic outcomes and well-being. Main Duties & Responsibilities: 1. To work with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Academic Registrar, Dean of Research and Knowledge Exchange and colleagues, in lead- ing the development, implementation and review of the Hartpury University Academic Strategy. 2. To lead the recruitment, selection, training and continuous professional development of the academic staff; To collaborate with colleagues to design, deliver and evaluate appropriate staff professional development opportunities, including training, curric- ulum design and curriculum review workshops and the annual learning and teaching conference in order to deliver strategic objectives. 3. To ensure all students experience excellence in teaching, learning and their academic student experience at Hartpury, driving forward a culture of continuous enhancement. 4. To develop and implement activities that enhance student engagement and student outcomes, ensuring the student voice is utilised to develop a sense of belonging. 5. To work with the Academic Registrar to develop and implement approaches for engaging and supporting programme teams in reviewing, evaluating and developing the curriculum and approaches to learning, teaching and assessment, to ensure students achieve their full potential. 6. 6. To develop and maintain internal and external relationships with staff, students and external stakeholders to facilitate excellence in learning, teaching and student experience through collaboration, mentoring and engagement, encouraging and developing others in leading change. 7. To lead our Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) submissions and ensure further progression in future teaching, learning and student experience exercises. 8. To initiate, lead, and/or make a significant contribution to the implementation and evaluation of key teaching, learning and student experience development projects including, for example, personal academic tutoring, flexible and blended learning, assessment and feedback, research inspired teaching, student led induction etc. the Student Voice should inform all activity. 9. To produce progress, monitoring and evaluation reports for a variety of projects for different audiences as required. 10. To proactively monitor implementation of new initiatives to ensure a joined-up and consistent approach to change management and continuous improvement relating to learning, teaching and student experience. 11. To engage in research and scholarship in relation to teaching, learning and student experience to underpin evidence based prac- tice, and to enhance the external profile. 12. To represent Hartpury externally, develop and maintain links with relevant professional bodies, and with colleagues in other appropriate HEIs, to build alliances, share intelligence and collaborate in the development of innovation and best practice. 13. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training. 14. Ensure and enhance personal health, safety and wellbeing and that of other staff and students. 15.
