Timothy Gallagher. The phrase is “Begin again”. For more of Venerable Bruno Lanteri’s writings, visit https://www.omvusa.org/brunolanteri/writings/, but here are two quotations: Ven. Bruno Lanteri: “If I should fall a thousand times a day, a thousand times a day I will begin again, with new awareness of my weakness, promising God, with a peaceful heart, to amend my life. I will never think of God as if he were of our condition and grows weary of our wavering, weakness, and negligence. Rather, I will think of what is truly characteristic of him and what he prizes most highly, that is, his goodness and mercy, knowing that he is a loving Father who understands our weakness, is patient with us, and forgives us.” Ven. Bruno Lanteri: “If I should fall, were it even a thousand times, I will not lose courage, I will not be troubled, but I will always say immediately, with peace, Nunc coepi [“Now I Begin.”].” This coming Wednesday, March 24th, we are blessed to have a Day of Mercy from 10:00 am 8:00 pm. There will be a time again to come back to God and experience His kindness, gentleness, and mercy in the Sacrament of Confession, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Sacrament of Beginning Again. Fr. Peter and I will also offer Confession outside. Have you been away from Confession? Why not come back this Day of Mercy? Why not begin again? The Lord loves you and there is always hope. God bless you, Fr. Ben
s School News Social Justice Projects Every year, our 8th graders learn about the importance of social justice and the Catholic Social Teachings. They then choose an injustice they are passionate about and research causes, effects, solutions, and Church teachings about that injustice. The project culminates in a 710 minute presentation given to their classmates, teacher, and two other judges. It is an enjoyable opportunity for them to teach and lead something they believe could change if people knew more and understood the impact that the social justice issue has on the world. We are proud of our 8th graders for their passion to positively impacting the world around them! Saint Ambrose · Page 5 Faith Formation
