There are a lot of broken things and a lot of people trying to fix them The battles to fix the broken things are very asymmetric Foundations, corporations and individuals cannot assume all of the responsibilities government is shedding The non-profit world (grantors and grantees) is very fragmented Non-profits have been wounded by scandals and are politically weak People in the non-profit world are passionate, articulate and generally committed to doing good Many non-profits (operating and non-operating) seem to be very personality driven and without clear succession plans Understanding, measuring and comparing the effectiveness, success and return on investment of programs is quite often difficult Funding and forums to pass on lessons learned seem to be scarce GameOfPhilanthropy 1.6 © 2008 Common Grant Application.     TO OUR STOCKHOLDERS: Chairman’s Letter Chairman’s Fiscal year 2006 signaled the beginning of profound change in our industry Ì change in the way consumers purchase and play EA games, the platforms they play on, and the approach we take to develop and publish our products. It was a year that challenged us to think diÅerently about navigating technology transitions and to invest in new opportunities with potentially richer margins. It was a year that marked the introduction of new titles and new services that improve the game experience and generate incremental revenue. Most of all, it was a year that convinced us that the artistic and economic opportunities in our business are much greater than we could have imagined just Ñve years ago. Transition is never easy and the combination of new technology, new platforms and new markets makes this one particularly complex. Today, EA is investing ahead of revenue in what we believe will be another period of strong and sustained growth for the interactive entertainment industry. No other company is investing in as many strategic areas; no other company has as much opportunity. Our commitment of Ñnancial and creative resources is signiÑcant, but so is the potential for long-term growth. Our net revenue for Ñscal 2006 was $2.951 billion, down six percent. Operating income was $325 million or 11 percent of revenue. Operating cash Öow was $596 million and we ended the year with $2.272 billion in cash and short term investments. Our return on invested capital was 21 percent and diluted earnings per share were $0.75.

    EA REPORTS FOURTH QUARTER AND FISCAL YEAR 2005 RESULTS Record $3.1 Billion Revenue Driven by 31 Platinum Titles REDWOOD CITY, CA – May 3, 2005 – Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended March 31, 2005. Full Year Results Net revenue for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2005 was $3.129 billion, up 6 percent as compared with $2.957 billion for the prior year. EA had 31 platinum titles (over one million units sold) in fiscal 2005 compared to 27 a year ago. Six franchises sold more than five million units: The Sims™, Need for Speed™, Madden NFL Football, FIFA, The Lord of the Rings™ and Harry Potter™. Net income for the year was $504 million as compared with $577 million for the prior year. Diluted earnings per share were $1.59 as compared with $1.87 for the prior year. Non-GAAP net income for the year, which excludes certain items, was $543 million as compared with $566 million for the prior year. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $1.71 as compared with $1.84 for the prior year. (Please see Non-GAAP Financial Measures and reconciliation information included in this release.) Operating cash flow was $634 million as compared with $669 million a year ago. “As we begin the new fiscal year, we are focused on successfully navigating through the console transition,” said Larry Probst, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “EA has the people, franchises and strategies to extend our leadership on next generation platforms.” “This is a year of execution and investment,” said Warren Jenson, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer.
