hit "Take Me Out" is reconstructed with the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith video game; Sum 41's "Pieces" is overhauled with Destroy All Humans!, Good Charlotte's "Predictable" features Darkwatch and My Chemical Romance's "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" is recreated with Death Jr. In addition, for the first time ever Video Mods will feature Machinima - Breaking Benjamin's "So Cold" music video based on Half-Life 2. In upcoming episodes, MTV2's Video Mods takes on videos from the Beastie Boys, Ciara, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, and The Killers with games like NBA Street V3, Medal of Honor European Assault, Dance Dance Revolution, Silent Hill, and Lineage II: the Chaotic Chronicle.
"The new season of Video Mods is going to bring the worlds of music videos, animation and game development together in a completely inventive fashion," stated Alex Coletti, Executive Producer, MTV2. "By combining some of our audience's biggest passions, we're extending the life of some of the most popular video games and characters through the world of music and is representative of the type of programming that we strive for at MTV2."

MTV2's Video Mods is created and executive produced by Tony Shiff and Big Bear Entertainment in association with producers, IBC Digital.
MTV2 kicked off 2005 by securing its highest ratings in its history. After record breaking ratings in 2004, MTV2 reached new ratings milestones in the first quarter of 2005, experiencing an increase of 46% in viewership among P12-34 versus last year resulting in its highest rated quarter ever. MTV2, now in over 57 million homes, also continued to see a 41% growth among its core Male 12-24 viewers. With the evolution of MTV2 in 2005, the channel continues to deliver the hottest mix of music videos, music long form programs, and cross platform programming. The ongoing strength of MTV2's signature music blocks is further exemplified by the hip-hop powerhouse, "Sucker Free Sundays," which delivered the highest ratings ever for a single day in channel history back in February. MTV2's success with music continues with shows such as the $2 Bill concert series, Video Mods, Playlistism, and Discover and Download. Brand new programming blocks, such as the "Sic Em Friday" lineup consisting of "WildBoyz," "Wonder Showzen," "Team Sanchez" and "Damage Control", was seen by over 10 million viewers in just its first two weeks on air.
