Software Designer – Automation Dept SOFTWARE DESIGNER – AUTOMATION DEPT Ref.No: SWD_AUT Integrated Micro-Electronics Bulgaria is part of Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (IMI) - a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and power semiconductor assembly and test services. IMI serves some of the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the computing, communications, consumer, automotive, industrial, and medical electronics markets.. The production facilities in Bulgaria are situated in the town of Botevgrad and there is a Design & Development Unit in the city of Sofia. Integrated Micro-Electronics Bulgaria employs more than 2500 people. We are currently looking to employ a Software Designer for our Automation Dept. in Botevgrad. Main activities of the Automation Department include design, assembly and implementation of dedicated equipment and tools in production. The expertise of the team is in the area of functional testers, pressing tools, tools for de-paneling process, marking and coating machines, automatic rotating and linear stations, etc. Reports to: Automation & TSD Manager Main duties and obligations: Design and develop software code for production equipment; Design and develop software for microcontrollers (firmware); Design and develop products respecting customer specifications and the development rules; Code, integrate, test, debug and maintain the software modules; Required personal and professional skills: Technical University degree (Master/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant; Very good knowledge of design and development processes with speciality in software; Advanced programming level in C or C++, C# (CVI, .NET, LabView and Assembler is considered as an advantage) Knowledge of modeling techniques as a tool for application design development; Knowledge of programming PLC and experience with HMI; Very good computer skills (general purpose and specialized software); Strong knowledge on Windows OS (Linux is an advantage); English language at upper intermediate level - written and spoken communication within a multicultural team; Skills to prioritize and work under pressure; SQL knowledge is a plus; Previous experience at a similar position is an advantage; We offer: The challenge to work in a multinational company within the automotive industry Good compensation package; Company transport from Sofia, Vratsa, Mezdra, Etropole, Pravets provided; .

    Do Public Fund Windfalls Increase Corruption? Evidence from a Natural Disaster Elena Nikolovaa Nikolay Marinovb 68131 Mannheim A5-6, Germany October 5, 2016 Abstract We show that unexpected financial windfalls increase corruption in local govern- ment. Our analysis uses a new data set on flood-related transfers, and the associated spending infringements, which the Bulgarian central government distributed to mu- nicipalities following torrential rains in 2004 and 2005. Using information from the publicly available audit reports we are able to build a unique objective index of cor- ruption. We exploit the quasi-random nature of the rainfall shock (conditional on controls for ground flood risk) to isolate exogenous variation in the amount of funds received by each municipality. Our results imply that a 10 % increase in the per capita amount of disbursed funds leads to a 9.8% increase in corruption. We also present suggestive evidence that more corrupt mayors anticipated punishment by voters and dropped out of the next election race. Our results highlight the governance pitfalls of non-tax transfers, such as disaster relief or assistance from international organizations, even in moderately strong democracies.     Annex REPORT FOR 2019 UNDER THE “HEALTH CARE” PRIORITY of the NATIONAL ROMA INTEGRATION STRATEGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA 2012 - 2020 Operational objective: A national monitoring progress report has been prepared for implementation of Measure 1.1.2. “Performing obstetric and gynaecological examinations with mobile offices in settlements with compact Roma population”. During the period 01.07—20.11.2019, a total of 2,261 prophylactic medical examinations were carried out with the four mobile gynaecological offices to uninsured persons of Roma origin and to persons with difficult access to medical facilities, as 951 women were diagnosed with diseases. The implementation of the activity for each Regional Health Inspectorate is in accordance with an order of the Minister of Health to carry out not less than 500 examinations with each mobile gynaecological office. Financial resources of BGN 12,500 were allocated for each mobile unit, totalling BGN 50,000 for the four units. Through ICMA and FLGR, USAID initiated a pilot partnership program in 1997 between US cities and Bulgarian municipalities. Phase V of the program, August 2004-February 2008, was designed to build on previous program components and successes that had made the largest impact on the development of Bulgarian municipalities. It also provided the potential to continue making changes in the way Bulgarian municipalities are managed and serve their citizens.

Particular attention was also given to collect data and information for specific purposes concerning the development of the Danube Water Quality Model, the identification and evaluation of hot spots, the analysis of social and economic factors, the preparation of an investment portfolio and the development of financing mechanisms for the implementation of the ICPDR Action Plan. For the elaboration of the National Reviews, a team of national experts was recruited in each of the participating countries for a period of one to four months covering the following positions: Socio-economist with knowledge in population studies, Financial expert (preferably from the Ministry of Finance), Water Quality Data expert/information specialist, Water Engineering expert with knowledge in project development. Each of the experts had to organize his or her work under the supervision of the respective Country Programme Coordinator and with the guidance of a team of International Consultants. The tasks were laid out in specific Terms of Reference. At a Regional Workshop in Budapest from 27 to 29 January 1998, the national teams and the group of international consultants discussed in detail the methodological approach and the content of the National Reviews to assure coherence of results.
