Come join Champion Aaron Miles, former Pitcher Butch Rounsaville and an outstanding group of coaches and former pro baseball players for a fun filled day of instruction and demonstration on the finer points of baseball fundamentals.

Post Clinic Activities from 1pm to 2:30pm include Barbecue Hot Dog Lunch, Museum Tour and Autographs Pick-up and Drop off at Babe Ruth Fields

Instructor Biographies Aaron Miles In 1995, following his graduation from AHS, Aaron was drafted in the 19th round by the . He spent eight years in the minor leagues before making his MLB debut in 2003 with the Chicago White Sox. In 2006, Aaron was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals and was an integral part of the Cards winning the World Series. The following year was his best year as a major league hitter posting a .317 batting average with the Cardinals. He finished his career in 2011 with the Dodgers where he hit .275 and led the NL with the highest BA with runners on base, batting .357. Overall, Aaron’s career MLB stats were 932 games, 2,827 at bats, 793 hits, 229 RBIs and a .281 average. Career fielding average of .978. Gene “Butch” Rounsaville Butch was a 1962 AHS graduate. He signed with the in 1965. In 1968, pitching for the AA Eastern League Reading (Pa.) Phillies, he lead the league with 14 wins, 6 shutouts, 1.76 ERA and 14 complete games. He became the first Antioch player to play when he made his pitching debut with the Chicago White Sox on April 7, 1970. Overall, he won 62 minor league games. In 2006 he was inducted into the Reading Phillies (AA Eastern League) Hall of Fame and in 2007 he was inducted into the Antioch Sports Legends Hall of Fame. Doug Snyder Doug graduated Antioch in 1981 and was All League and MVP with a .392 batting average. At LMC he was All Conference and Athlete of the Year for 1982-83. He was drafted in the 19th round by the Houston Astros in 1983 and played 7 seasons. Overall career stats included 34 home runs, 274 RBIs, and 89 stolen bases. Matt North Matt was a Deer Valley High graduate and was selected in the 9th round of the 2006 player draft by the St. Louis Cardinals where he pitched 5 years in their minor league system. Matt was 1st team All BVAL his junior and senior year at Deer Valley and was a Puma pre-season All American. Matt is currently the pitching coach for DVC. John Barton John was a three-sport star and a 1984 AHS graduate. He pitched for the University of Nevada-Reno and was drafted in 1988 in the 23rd round by the Detroit Tigers. His 1984 AHS baseball team is being inducted into the Antioch Sports Legends Hall of Fame this year. Ron Perkins Originally from the East Coast, Ron signed with Chicago White Sox in 1990. He played 5 seasons total as a catcher and a pitcher. He is currently owner/operator of Perk’s Baseball Academy in the East County. Craig Chipman He is currently Assistant Baseball Coach at DVC and has over 20 years coaching experience at the high school and college levels. He played 6 seasons of minor league baseball as a catcher. He has also been an MLB scout for 3 teams. Dan Tuck AHS graduate, he captained the 1971 baseball team that was inducted into Antioch Sports Legends Hall of Fame in 2008. He has been coaching youth baseball for over 30 years
