Istomin is appearing in his third career ATP World Tour final (0-2), first on grass, and he’s trying to become the fifth first-time winner this season. Querrey is making his 14th career appearance in an ATP World Tour final (7-6), the third on grass (1-1). He was a runner-up in Houston in April. His last title came on home soil in Los Angeles in 2012 (d. Berankis). Both players saved match point en route to the final. Istomin saved one MP in his QF win over No. 4 seed Leonardo Mayer while Querrey saved two match pts. in his QF win over No. 2 seed Gilles Simon. The winner will become the first champion this year after saving match point. Guccione and Sa are playing in their first ATP World Tour final together. They won the Manchester Challenger earlier this month. Guccione is 3-3 in career finals and his last title came in Bogota last July. His last final was in Moscow last October. Two of his titles have come on grass, in Newport in 2010 and ’14. Sa is 8-15 in career ATP World Tour finals and his last title came in Buenos Aires in February (w/Nieminen). He is trying to earn his first title on grass. Cuevas and Marrero are appearing in their third ATP World Tour final together. They captured the ATP Masters 1000 Rome crown last month and were finalists last year in Oeiras (l. to Gonzalez- Lipsky). They are No. 10 in the Emirates ATP Team Rankings. Cuevas and Marrero first teamed together at the Napoli Challenger in 2009 and won the title. They then played twice in 2010, once in 2011 and four times last year, with their best result coming in Oeiras. They have a 29-16 career record. th Cuevas and Marrero are 18-9 together this season.
