Karen Mowat and Lud- vig Rosen krantz were given the farm Hatteberg as a wedding present. They built their home here, and called it Rosendal. It was finished in 1665. A guided tour at Baroniet Rosendal is a tour through different epochs. The rooms are influenced by owners over 250 years, and the manor is preserved as a home – the way it was when the last owners left in 1927. Pol is hed stone blocks, sour- ced from throughout the region, tell a many-faceted geological story, beautifully uniting art and natural science. Geology has had a decisive influence on the formation of our land scape, our mountains and fjords, valleys, lakes and rivers and waterfalls, impacting our livelihood, our culture and history. The Stone Park also tells a more slowly unfolding story – the story of how life on Earth itself has changed through billions of years, and is still changing. Fossils show us the life forms of earlier epochs and how the environment has changed, while ancient stone tools and weapons tell colourful stories of earlier societies and cultures that thrived along the Hardangerfjord. THE STONE PARK The Stone Park is a tranquil place, and entry is free of charge. Perfect for quiet contemplation, learning about The Earth’s history, or enjoying a picnic in beautiful surroundings. • Meir Sjøaure I Vassdraga Kring Hardangerfjorden Restaurering Og Habitatforbetrande Tiltak I Sjøaurevassdrag Langs Hardangerfjorden
Meir sjøaure i vassdraga kring Hardangerfjorden Restaurering og habitatforbetrande tiltak i sjøaurevassdrag langs Hardangerfjorden. Sven-Helge Pedersen «Sjøaure Hardangerfjord» - for meir sjøaure i vassdraga kring Hardangerfjorden Ein interesseorganisasjon for grunneigarlag, jakt- og fiskelag i dei 10 kommunane kring Hardangerfjorden. Sjøauren – ein historisk viktig art for Hardangerbygdene A. F. Mockler-Ferryman si reiseskildring “In the Northman’s Land” (London 1896): Om Eide/Granvin: There is very fair salmon and trout fishing, and, when the river is not let, the guests at the hotel can try their luck, though, owing to the numerous salmon traps, the chances are against the angler taking any large salmon, but, still, the sea-trout are not to be despised.. Om Eidfjord: ..This, then, is the time for the sportsman, who, with a boatman af any intelligence and with the proper minnows, should manage to kill a goodly number of sea-trout in the afternoon. .. Apart from salmon fishing, I know of no greater excitement (in a mild way) than to try conclusions with a heavy sea-trout and a light rod.

  • Noorwegen Trip Met De Shelter, Zomer 2013

In the spring, the trees are in full bloom but if you are travelling during the late summer or early autumn, you will need to stop at one of the fruit selling booths, and buy some fresh apples! You will then head to Norheimsund, where we recommend making a stop at Steindalsfossen – where you can walk behind the wondrous waterfall.
