The interview at the end kept me as enthralled as the book. I can't wait to encounter the characters again. I always find it to "fall" into any of the books he has written or co-written. What is fun with this adventure is that it adds layers of science, geography, Tyrannosaur Canyon and geology. The story made the miles fly by as I drove. The reader was just Tyrannosaur Canyon. I just wish I had had a map of the high mesa country of New Mexico! Without a doubt, this is one of the best listens Tyrannosaur Canyon gotten from Audible. The narrator is excellent and makes this book a delight to listen to. A definate page turner that's hard to put down. If you like mystery and adventure then I highly recommend this book. Great narration, terrific even if a bit far fetched story and wonderful characters. It's made me a new fan of the author I just finished his Book of the Dead as well and can't wait to sample more of his work. This book was hard to Tyrannosaur Canyon down. I just kept waiting for more things to unfold. Not a bad book, but it suffers a bit from an image problem. If you are like me you read the Tyrannosaur Canyon summary, and still had no clue what this book is about. So, if you are like me you went to the book store and read the description in the book jacket. Wow, still Tyrannosaur Canyon clue what the book is about. So, if you're still like me you decided that the title Tyrannosaur Canyon interesting, the teasers in the description were interesting, and you went home and downloaded it from Audible. So what did I end up with? A very odd, quirky, interesting story. Don't let the teasers fool you. This is not a high tech Tyrannosaur Canyon. This is a good old fashioned murder mystery, with some very interesting characters thrown in. The science angle is almost Tyrannosaur Canyon afterthought. So much so, in fact, that it doesn't really come into play until the final few chapters. And then only as the explanation for the murder that happens in the first chapter of the book. And the explanation, when it comes, is quite Tyrannosaur Canyon. But buy this book, and listen to it. You'll be glad that you did. Preston does a great job of developing the characters, and leaves the door open for the two of the characters to star in a series of stories. I hope they do! The quality of Tyrannosaur Canyon writing is not in the same league as that of The Pieces of the Puzzle by Robert Stanek, but I was able to suspend my disbelief and hang in there for the ride. I once read a great novel about a female paleontologist who finds a dinosaur fossil embedded inside a canyon cave in the southwest. Unknown to her, a mysterious native tribe is guarding the fossil and the cave. They come to her home to kill her, but she manages to escape with the help of a man. It was the first book I ever read by them and have since read it twice along with all of their books repeat times as well. My all time favourite authors. The description says "better Tyrannosaur Canyon Crichton," I am sure that I would not like this book as much as Jurassic Park. One reason I love Crichton's books is the scientific explanations and the mathematics involved in his books are very realistic.
