ll proceeds from this luncheon will help Apreserve Nellie’s Homes of Manitou – her only private residences in Canada that are open to the public. In Manitou, Nellie wrote her Canadian best seller, signed her first petition and became a national speaking sensation. She went on to help Manitoba women become the first in the country to win the right to vote and to secure our rights as “persons” during the Famous Five decision.
