OW - Yes, Ridy reached 1,000 points for the Club which is a great achievement. For any player to score that number of points for one club doesn't happen too often these days, as players tend to move around more than perhaps they once did. Ridy has a tremendous boot and I’m sure he will go on and score at least another 1,000 points for Leigh. Only four players have previously reached that milestone for Leigh and there are some great names in that list. So Ridy will be really proud to have joined that elite

Leigh Reserves Coach Paul Anderson was delighted with the 68- 0 victory over Cumbria Academy at Golborne Parkside ARLFC which gave his side their eleventh win in 12 league games. Gregg McNally grounds the ball over the Centre Eze Harper led the way with five tries and Halifax line winger Tyler Spence bagged a hat-trick with the prolific Josh Ward kicking eight goals. It was the perfect response to the Reserves’ first league defeat of the season against Halifax. “The reaction to that Halifax game was really positive,” Anderson said. “The attitude was spot on and the players turned up to play. We had a really tough game in the first fixture at Workington and only decided the game in the last few minutes. So to score so many tries and also ‘nil’ them was very and Tommy pleasing. Goulden combine “Eze struggles to play on Saturdays due to work in defence commitments, but he got the chance to play and was fantastic and I was very pleased also for Tyler. And it was really good to see our defence and to stop them from scoring was a great effort.” :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Details: Sat 14 Jun v Halifax (h) Lost 16-29: Liam Kay probes for an opening Holmes; Adu Dwumma, Swift, Gardner, Baggaley; (t), Ward (t, 2g); Ostick, Foster (t), Duffy, Peet, Tatlock, Tracey. They looked after us really well and there was a good crowd who all enjoyed the game and the event. The previous week we played at Leigh Miners Rangers junior ground and again the facilities were superb and welcome we got was excellent.
