Juni 2013, 18.00 Uhr Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, Großes Haus PRESSEINFORMATIONEN MUSIKTHEATER IM REVIER »Der Rosenkavalier Die Geschichte dieser unvergleichlichen „Komödie für Musik“ beginnt im Bett der Feldmarschallin Fürstin Werdenberg. Sie hat mit ihrem viel jüngeren Liebhaber Octavian die Nacht verbracht – und prophezeit ihm das baldige Ende der Liaison: Nicht ihr Mann, die übermächtige Zeit werde ihre Welten trennen. „Die Zeit, die ist ein sonderbar Ding. Wenn man so hinlebt, ist sie rein gar nichts. Aber dann auf einmal, da spürt man nichts als sie. In den Gesichtern rieselt sie.“ So resümiert die Marschallin und wird am Ende selbst wehmütig verzichten. Die Verwicklungen um Octavian, der sich in die junge Sophie von Faninal verliebt, als er eigentlich im Namen des tumben Baron Ochs von Lerchenau als „Rosenkavalier“ um ebendiese werben soll, weben die Komödie in diese Oper ein. Als Fräulein „Marianderl“ verkleidet führt Octavian den Ochs aufs Glatteis und lässt so mit kräftiger Unterstützung auch die Heiratsabsprache zwischen dem Emporkömmling Faninal, Sophies Vater, und dem Baron platzen. Am Ende steht Octavian zwischen zwei Frauen – die Marschallin wird das Feld für die jüngere Sophie räumen. Der rückwärtige Blick auf die Zeit, der die Perspektive der Marschallin prägt, ist stilbildend für das gesamte Werk, mit dem Richard Strauss und Hugo von Hofmannsthal eine Komödie aus dem Geiste Mozarts schufen, ein fiktives Rokoko, das zwar in der Mozart-Zeit spielt, aufgrund seiner farbig instrumentierten, schwungvollen Wiener Walzer jedoch der Glanzzeit des 19. -

Presseinformation © DAVIDS Das Classic Open Air – Eine Erfolgsgeschichte © DAVIDS 1991 hatte Gerhard Kämpfe die Idee, ein Musikfestival auf dem Gendarmenmarkt zu veranstalten. Ein Jahr später wurde das erste Classic Open Air mit dem Konzert von José Carreras eröffnet, zwei weitere Konzerte folgten. Sie wurden von Initiator und Gründer Gerhard Kämpfe mit Hilfe seiner Mitstreiter der „ersten Stunde“ veranstaltet: Dr. Jürgen Hagen (noch heute Dramaturg) und Eike von Oppeln-Bronikowski. 1998 kam Mario Hempel als geschäftsführender Gesellschafter mit an Bord, um den gewachsenen Managementaufgaben des Festivals Rechnung zu tragen. Seit mehr als 20 Jahren organisieren Gerhard Kämpfe als Festivaldirektor (Schwerpunkt: künstlerisches und Produktionsmanagement) und Mario Hempel als Geschäftsführer (Schwerpunkt: Marketing, Vertrieb und Finanzen) das Classic Open Air erfolgreich. Das Grundkonzept ist die Verbindung von klassischen Musikkonzerten mit Genres wie Rock, Pop und Jazz.
