PROPHECY OF MUSLEH MAUD
Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra) was the second successor of
the Promised Messiah (as). He was a distinguished (great) Khalifa because his
birth was foretold by a number of previous Prophets and Saints.
The Promised Messiah (as) received a Divine sign for the truth of Islam as a
result of his forty days of prayer at Hoshiarpur (India). God Almighty told him
that a pure son (Musleh Maud) would be born to him within a period of nine
years. On February 20th 1886 this prophecy was published.
In accordance with this Divine prophecy and within the specified period, the
Promised son was born to the Promised Messiah (as) on January 12th 1889
in Qadian. He was named Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad.
The prophecy about Musleh Maud had also specified some special qualities of the Promised Son. For instance, it was foretold that he would be extremely
intelligent and highly learned. His fame will spread to the ends of the earth and nations would be blessed through him.
Note: We do not hold Yaume-Musleh Maud Jalsas to celebrate the birth date of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II, which was 12th January 1889. Rather, we conduct these Jalsas to remember the fulfilment of the Prophecy, which was published on 20th February 1886.
