He was a <strong>distinguished (great) Khalifa </strong>because <strong>his </strong></p><p><strong>birth was foretold </strong>by a number of previous Prophets and Saints. </p><p> The Promised Messiah (as) received a <strong>Divine sign for the truth of Islam </strong>as a </p><p>result of his forty days of prayer at Hoshiarpur (India). God Almighty told him </p><p>that a <strong>pure son (Musleh Maud</strong>) would be born to him within a period of nine </p><p>years. <strong>On February 20</strong><strong>th </strong><strong>1886 this prophecy was published</strong>. </p><p> In accordance with this Divine prophecy and within the specified period, <strong>the </strong></p><p><strong>Promised son was born to the Promised Messiah (as) on January 12th 1889 </strong></p><p><strong>in Qadian</strong>. He was named Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad. <br> The prophecy about Musleh Maud had also specified some <strong>special qualities </strong>of the Promised Son. For instance, it was foretold that he would be <strong>extremely </strong></p><p><strong>intelligent and highly learned. His fame will spread to the ends of the earth and nations would be blessed through him. </strong></p><p><strong>Note: We do not hold Yaume-Musleh Maud Jalsas to celebrate the birth date of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II, which was 12</strong><strong>th </strong><strong>January 1889. Rather, we conduct these Jalsas to remember the fulfilment of the Prophecy, which was published on 20</strong><strong>th </strong><strong>February 1886</strong>. </p><p><strong>Summary of his Achievements </strong></p><p>Under the great leadership of Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II, the Ahmadiyya Muslim community progressed by leaps and bounds. His long period of Khilafat <strong>(52 years) </strong>was full of great achievements. </p><p>A few examples are below: </p><p>••<strong>1</strong>H<strong>9</strong>e<strong>3</strong>i<strong>4</strong>n:auEgsutraabtleisdhe<strong>J</strong>d<strong>am</strong>T<strong>i</strong>h<strong>a</strong>e<strong>A</strong><strong>T</strong><strong>h</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>m</strong><strong>hr</strong><strong>a</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>d</strong><strong>k</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>y</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>y</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>a</strong><strong>J</strong>-<strong>a</strong>a<strong>di</strong>s<strong>d</strong>chsocohlefmoer. training missionaries. </p><p>•<strong>1957</strong>: Established The <strong>Waqf-e-Jadid </strong>scheme. </p><p>•Many new <strong>Ahmadiyya missions </strong>were opened in a number of foreign </p><p>countries, such as <strong>Mauritius, USA, West African nations </strong>and many more. •He wrote a <strong>large number of books </strong>and under his guidance, the <strong>Holy Quran was translated into various important languages </strong>of the world.
