All pictures must be submitted in digital format to [email protected]. Once submitted you will receive a reply email for your records within 24 hours. If you don’t receive a reply email please contact.Mineshaft.Harley-Davidson staff. Pictures may not have any filters, edited, or grabbed as a screenshot since we need the metadata on the photograph to verify the date the picture was taken. We recommend pictures taken in JPG format and be submitted in medium to good quality. The picture should be taken at a prominent spot in the park, preferably by the park sign if the location is safe to park. The picture must show the rider/s, motorcycle/s, and a prominent unique park area. We will accept selfies if riding alone or couples pictures of 2, 4 or 6 people with motorcycles. Both rider and passenger qualify for the challenge though each individual must complete this form. A group picture at the location with or without motorcycles will qualify if the ride is recognized as an official Man O’ War H.O.G scheduled ride in riding gear. Pictures may be submitted individually or all together. We are not Noresponsible if you loose your phone/pictures/ cameras therefore we suggest you take a backup picture. In total, approximately 582 stream kilometers (skm) (362 stream miles (smi)) in Martin and Pike Counties, Kentucky; Buchanan, Dickenson, and Wise Counties, Virginia; and McDowell, Mingo, and Wayne Counties, West Virginia, are proposed as critical habitat for the Big Sandy crayfish. Approximately 135 skm (84 smi) in Logan and Wyoming Counties, West Virginia, are proposed as critical habitat for the Guyandotte River crayfish. If we finalize this rule as proposed, it would extend the Act’s protections to these species’ critical habitat. We also announce the availability of a draft economic analysis of the proposed designation of critical habitat for these species.     Kentucky Vacations in your own Backyard Today there are more than 50 Kentucky state parks, including Resort Parks that feature lodges, cottages, restaurants, campgrounds and trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. There are Historic Sites that tell about Kentucky’s history from prehistoric times to the days of the Civil War, Native Americans and the early pioneers. Many of these historic locations have museums or historic buildings that make great places for family visits. Recreation Parks feature campgrounds, picnic areas, swimming areas and trails. One park is an Interstate Park, shared with the Commonwealth of Virginia. State Parks are parks or protected areas managed by the states. Usually they are established to preserve a location because of its natural beauty, historic interest or recreation potential. The development of state parks in the United States generally paralleled the development of the U.S. national parks. The oldest state park in the United States is Niagara Falls, established in 1885. The first U.S. National Park was Yellowstone, established in 1872. Until the development of parks in the United States, the great areas of land with natural beauty and historic significance had only been set aside for the wealthy, such as kings and noblemen. National parks and state parks reserved the lands for everyone. The parks movement began in the United States and has since been accepted and copied throughout the world. During WW I, visits in Europe were closed to tourists from the United States and other countries. The theme, “See America First,” was promoted as never before and concentrated on the beauty of the American landscape, especially those in the western states.

The world was experiencing a global pandemic due to the coronavirus, also referred to as COVID-19. Millions of Americans across the nation, including the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky lived through various stages of Shelter at Home/Healthy at Home and Healthy at Work orders there were implemented mid-March 2020 through June 11, 2021. Students in P-12 schools and colleges and universities received instruction through a variety of non-traditional methods during the 2020-21 school year, including online instruction and limited on-site class size using a hybrid method. Other than health care workers, first responders, and essential business workers (pharmacies, grocery stores, drive-through/curb side/delivery food service, gas stations, hardware stores, and agricultural businesses), all non- essential businesses in Kentucky were closed for three (3) months. Hundreds of thousands of workers applied for unemployment, Medicaid, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in a state system that was never designed to accommodate the level of need it has been experiencing. The federal government approved an economic stimulus package to help families and businesses. Child care centers, initially closed to all but health care workers, re-opened to a reduced number of children under strict state requirements and guidelines.
