Joe’s first solo record was entitled ’Barnstorm.’ Although highly innovative the record was before its time and never gained large success. Joe formed a band and toured but was dissapointed at the way his solo career had started. Joe’s fiinky guitar helped the Eagles to become one of the biggest bands around for the next few years. He also contributed his songwriting talents with songs such as ’Life In the Fast Lane’ and ’In the City’ (also on a previous soundtrack). During his stay as the Eagles crazy guitar player, Joe did a few movie cuts, such as the hit ’All Night Long’ from Urban Cowboy.
