Prior to this we will not operate any Papeete-Tokyo flights. 27 August: Air Vanuatu was granted approval by NDMO to operate a series of international freighter (cargo) services from August through to December 2020. Outbound passengers , departing from Port-Vila only, are allowed to travel on these services. Note : At this time, international inbound passengers (including Ni-Vanuatu citizens and permanent residents) are not allowed to board the aircraft back to Vanuatu, until approved otherwise by the relevant Government authorities. 20 October: Fiji Airways is exploring repatriation flight options between Nadi and Los Angeles in late November or early December, which will allow citizens and approved persons to return home. Flight details can only be confirmed if there is adequate demand for these services. To assist, Fiji Airways is actively seeking expressions of interest from citizens and residents currently in these cities wishing to be on these flight.
