The author begins with presentation of a programme of creating the detailed cartographic picture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the 16th century, proposed by Stanisław Smolka from the Jagiellonian University at the first congress of Polish historians in Cracow in 1880. This initiative was partially realised in the atlas of Ruthenian lands of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the turn of the 16th and 17th century created by Aleksander Jabłonowski and printed in 1904 in Vienna. When Poland regained its independence, it became possible to organize further works. As their results two maps were designed, prepared and issued in the interwar period: the general map of the sixteenth-century Grand Duchy of Lithuania created by Jan Jakubowski, published in 1927 and 1928, and the map of Cracow Voivodship of the Four-Year Sejm period (1788–1792) elaborated by Karol Buczek with cooperation of several other persons and published in 1930 in Cracow. The main topic of this article is a series of maps with commentaries prepared collectively in the Institute of History of Polish Academy of Sciences, entitled Atlas historyczny Polski. Mapy szczegółowe szesnastego wieku (Historical Atlas of Poland. Detailed maps of the 16th century) which includes Polish lands of the Crown. From the planned eight volumes with maps of individual voivodships or their groups, six were published suc- cessively in the years 1966–2018 and the last two are prepared for publishing in 2020.

Gala Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural University of Poznan, Poland It is essential for Poland, in her attempts to become a full member of the Introduction European Union, to take appropriate steps to be well prepared for sanitary requirements in force in this organisation. This also refers to dairy industry whose raw material varies widely with regard to its hygiene quality. Farmers, who are the main suppliers of milk raw material, have a special role to play in ensuring its appropriate hygiene quality. Good conditions existing on the marketplace for dairy products affect the profitability of milk production in agricultural farms and decisions taken by farmers associated with their long-term planning of the size of dairy cattle herds as well as the improvement of technical conditions for dairy rearing and milk production. Opinions on milk quality tend to alter with the development of milk processing and our knowledge in the field of nutrition (Nowakowski 1996). The maintenance of high quality in the chain of milk production, storage, transport, processing and distribution is the major prerequisite to be fulfilled in the course of manufacturing of the highest quality milk articles. These are the requirements of modern dairy processing markets and markets of dairy products distribution. Low milk shelf life as a raw material and potential changes affected by various factors make it necessary to maintain particular caution during milking, transport and processing. Upowszechnianiem turystyki narciarskiej w ramach Polskiego Towarzystwa Turystyczno-Krajoznawczego w województwie sieradzkim zajmował się Klub Narciarski działający w strukturach Oddziału Towarzystwa w Zduńskiej Woli. W latach 1975–1998 członkowie Klubu Narciarskiego corocznie organizowali wyjazdy w góry na obozy narciarskie. Początkowo turnusy były organizowane w schroniskach krajowych. Po ,,otwarciu” granic w latach dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku odbywały się w Czechosłowacji, a następnie w Czechachi Słowacji. Natomiast główną formą działalności WojewódzkiegoZrzeszenia Ludowe Zespoły Sportowe w Sieradzuw zakresie upowszechnienia turystyki narciarskiej była organizacja i udział w imprezach turystycznych. The Dairy Practices Council has a Task Force dealing specifically with small ruminant issues and more detailed information is available in other DPC Guidelines. This guideline lists the regulatory standards and laboratory methods that have been identified as appropriate by the National Conference on Interstate Milk Shipments (NCIMS). The guideline also deals with production systems and procedures, as well as management practices, essential for producing high quality goat milk. The objective of the paper was to analyse milking parameters, vented gums and assess the selected parameters of milking determined in a milking machine with a claw with fixed volume of a milking chamber (250 cm3) with mouthpiece vented liners in comparison to other solutions used for air supply in milking machines. Measurements were carried out in laboratory conditions with milking to the upper milk pipeline, at variable mass intensities of liquid flow (within 0-8 kg·min-1), for three penetrations of artificial teats (46, 48, 62 mm), at three values of the system vacuum (46, 48 and 50 kPa).
