 Employed as a Project Senior Quantity Surveyor to carry out main contractors quantity surveying duties including progress reporting, agreement and preparation of interim and final valuations, variation accounts and payment of sub-contractors on a new industrial development feeder road in St Helens for the local authority (US$ 0.7m) and the initial corridor works for the regeneration of Manchester Piccadilly Gardens forming part of a Hard and Soft Landscaping Project for Manchester City Council (US$ 9m).

As Project Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator for Kvaerner Process (formally John Brown Engineers & Constructors), UK

 Undertook the dual role of Project Quantity Surveyor and Sub-Contract Administrator, maintaining responsibility for the tender preparation, analysis, issue and operational control of the pre and post-award contract documentation, including variation account agreements, cost reporting and budgetary control through to the final account stage. Responsibilities at Glaxo (Ulverston) (US$ 7m), Haarman & Reimer (Selby) (US$ 3m), Medeva Pharma (Speke) (US$ 12m). AS Senior Quantity Surveyor for Delkins Ltd. (LONRHO), Lusaka, Zambia, Africa

 Fulfilled a main contractor’s senior quantity surveying function based in Lusaka, Zambia. Responsible for all aspects of the contractor’s quantity surveyor’s function, including interim valuations, variation and increased cost (escalation) accounts, together with local buying, importing and supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a team of 3 assistant Quantity Surveyors and a Materials Buyer. Projects included housing, schools, shopping malls, multi-storey structures and various industrial units both in the city and in remote bush locations.

As Contracts Engineer/Quantity Surveyor for Foster Wheeler Energy

 Quantity surveyor responsibilities on various petrochemical projects both in Saudi Arabia (ARAMCO) and UK.
