ROGUE VALLEY AVA The Rogue Valley AVA is Oregon’s southernmost wine growing region spanning 70 miles wide and 60 miles long. The AVA is defined by planted hillsides at elevations ranging from 1,200 to 2,000 feet. The Rogue River, and its three tributaries divide the AVA into three distinct valleys. This area is warmer and drier than the Willamette Valley, making great growing conditions for varietals such as Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and more. Soil types in the Rogue Valley vary from metamorphic, sedimentary, and volcanic. We have been working with Rogue Valley AVA vineyards since our inception in 2002, adding diversity to the Dobbes Family Estate portfolio.
