Meyer’s tonal word accents contours from the Swedish dialects provide a reliable basis for quantitative analysis? Measurements made on acute and grave tone-peaks in a number of dialects spoken in the province of Dalarna suggested that the timing of grave tonal peaks tended to vary systematically from south-east to north-west. The former dialects had relatively late and the latter relatively early tone-peaks. This finding suggests that Meyer’s accent data may be sufficiently accurate to reflect systematic variation within broad dialect areas. Implications for the historical development of the Dalarna dialects are discussed. Introduction Several decades ago, E.A. Meyer compiled his pioneering survey of tonal word accent contours in 100 Swedish dialects (Meyer 1937, 1954). Pitch curves were automatically generated using a pitch meter that Meyer himself had invented. The original pitch curves are thus likely to be quite accurate.     Remissvar Sida 2017-11-14 1 Kommunstyrelsen Näringsdepartementet N2017/05430/TIF Dnr KS/2017:517 Svar på remiss angående Förslag till nationell plan för transportsystemet 2018-2029 Inledning I Sälenområdet investeras just nu stora summor i detaljplaner och byggnationer. Detta till stor del utifrån byggandet av en ny internationell flygplats med handelsområde vid Mobergskölen intill Rörbäcksnäs. Näringslivet har planer på att öka antalet gästbäddar med cirka 10 000 fram till år 2020. Sälenområdet omsätter idag cirka tre miljarder kronor och har fem miljoner gästnätter om året. Denna näring är en ekonomisk motor för hela norra Dalarna och därmed mycket viktig för områdets utveckling och antalet arbetstillfällen. Malung-Sälens kommun ser mycket positivt på flygplatssatsningen och står helhjärtat bakom denna. Samtidigt bör framhållas att den allra största delen av Sälenfjällens besökare även fortsättningsvis kommer att resa till och från området med bil eller buss. Det är därför av största vikt att vägnätet är av sådan standard att man kan transportera sig på ett tryggt och säkert sätt. E16 Förbi Yttermalung Ett viktigt stråk till Sälenområdet är E16 mellan Borlänge och Malung. I förslaget till nationell plan 2019-2029 ligger mötesseparering mellan Borlänge och Djurås med, vilket Malung-Sälens kommun anser är mycket bra. Däremot saknar Malung-Sälens kommun E16 Förbi Yttermalung i planen, vilken torde vara väl känd av Trafikverket. I föreliggande förslag till länsplan för regional transportinfrastruktur i Dalarna 2018-2029 görs följande påpekande avseende E16 Förbi Yttermalung. ”En prioriterad åtgärd i gällande plan är E16 Förbi Yttermalung. E16 är nationell stamväg och ska därför formellt hanteras i nationell plan.

    Kulturarvsgenerationen En studie om kulturarvsbruk i Malung-Sälens kommun Markus Blomstrand Jonathan Bonn Kulturarvsgenerationen En studie om kulturarvsbruk i Malung-Sälens kommun The Generation of Cultural Heritage A Study of the Usage of Cultural Heritage in Malung-Sälen Municipality Markus Blomstrand Jonathan Bonn Sammanfattning Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka kulturarvet i Malung-Sälens kommun, vilket inkluderar att analysera hur kulturarvet bevaras, används och framställs i kommunens arbete och av ideella föreningar. Genom att intervjua representanter för den lokala kulturarvssektorn, analysera kommunala och regionala styrdokument och studera vetenskaplig litteratur bildade vi oss en förståelse för kulturarvets status i dag och dess framtida förutsättningar. Vi identifierade ett antal karakteristiska kulturarv i kommunen, som främst innefattade hembygdsgårdar, skinnindustri, fäbodar och det gamla kvarnstensbrottet i Malung. Vi kunde konstatera att kulturarvet spelar en viktig roll i att skapa en lokal identitet och anknytning till bygden, och att kulturarvet främst upprätthålls av ideella föreningar. Vi fann att det främst är äldre människor som engagerar sig i dessa föreningar, och att de samtidigt har problem att rekrytera nya medlemmar. Detta i kombination med låga kommunala bidrag till föreningarna gör att de löper en risk att inte kunna fortsätta sina verksamheter i framtiden. Kommunens insatser för kulturarvet upplevs även som bristfälliga av aktiva personer inom dessa verksamheter, men det finns en förståelse för att detta till viss del beror på den ansträngda ekonomin i kommunen. Situationen äventyrar dock kulturarvets framtida status, vilket riskerar att ha en påverkan på den lokala identiteten i framtiden, och även ha inverkan på människors historiska anknytning till bygden. Kommunen och regionen är dock angelägen att utveckla andra, mer inkomstbringande verksamheter inom kultur- och fritidssektorn, såsom skidturismen i Sälenfjällen och Dansbandsveckan i Malung.
