WORLD PREMIERE FOR NEW ANTARA AND CORSAVAN CONCEPT

• New Corsa: Exciting, individual and dynamic • Vectra OPC: Now with 280 hp and modified chassis • New GT: Legendary sports with modern design • Astra TwinTop: Coupé among cabrios brings breath of fresh air • Vivaro and Movano: New editions consolidate commercial vehicle success

Paris. presents two world premieres as well as numerous updated and enhanced models at the Paris Motor Show (September 30 – October 15, 2006). The new Antara makes its first public appearance at the Opel stand in Hall 5.2 of the Paris expo grounds. With the technologically sophisticated and dynamically designed four- drive five-seater, Opel is again staking a claim as leader among volume manufacturers in the SUV and crossover segment. As one of the most important new models of the 2006 car year, the fourth Corsa generation is also on display in Paris parallel to its market launch on October 7. With its sporty, athletic contours, agile handling, roomy interior and feel-good ambience, the popular Opel is perfectly positioned to reach top sales figures again. While the coupé-like three-door and family-friendly five-door Corsa models debuted in London, the sporty CorsaVan concept study, which is based on the three-door Corsa, makes its public premiere in the French capital.

The new Opel GT – legitimate heir to the legendary – is contending for the title of public darling in Paris. With its sharply cut lines, rear-wheel drive and 260-hp turbo engine, the new model echoes the successful concept of the original 1970s GT. In addition to the exciting two-seater, which has its market launch in spring 2007, the Opel top performers in OPC blue are also showcased in Paris. With engine output increased to 280 hp and chassis tuning modified accordingly, the Vectra OPC clearly spearheads this five-model OPC range.

The Astra TwinTop is another real eye-catcher at the Opel stand in Paris. Since May 2006, the stylish “coupé among cabrios” brings a breath of fresh air to the open-air segment. Just

like its little brother Tigra TwinTop, it impresses with a three-part electro-hydraulic retractable steel roof and luggage compartment volume of up to 440 liters.

New engines, new technology, new variants, new equipment ranges – Opel has completely updated the Vivaro and Movano models and given the Vivaro a fresh new face. With both new van editions, Opel strengthens its commitment in the growing commercial vehicle market in the up to 3.5-ton gross weight segment.

“City Lights” at Opel Stand

As visitors to the Paris Motor Show have come to expect, all GM brands are again united under one roof. This year they are in Hall 5.2 for the first time. Covering over 2000 square meters at the “Parc des Expositions”, Opel’s own stand is designed to reflect the leading roles played by the Antara, which makes its premiere, and the new Corsa. Both vehicles are visible from all sides on a darker, slightly elevated platform with a layout reminiscent of a fashion show catwalk. In total, about 30 vehicles are showcased against a backdrop of “city lights”. The skyscraper panorama surrounding the Antara and Corsa is made of light boxes that serve as projection screens for constantly changing colors and images.

The “Le Parkour” ensemble also performs acrobatics shows created just for the new Antara. Special lighting effects on the stand floor and light box columns illuminate further highlights such as the OPC area. Technical demonstrations as well as vehicle accessories and extras complete Opel’s creative exhibition space.

For the first time, Opel has designed a separate stand in Hall 2.1 specifically for commercial vehicles. The new editions of the Vivaro and Movano vans play the leading roles here.

Antara World Premiere: Modern Crossover with Character

- 3 -

Following the enthusiastic reaction to the GTC crossover concept car at the IAA 2005, Opel presents the Antara in best production form in Paris shortly before its market launch. With the new four-wheel drive crossover, Opel makes a strong comeback in a segment that has long been dominated by non-European brands. The technologically sophisticated five-seater combines dynamic, elegant design with intelligent active four-wheel drive, generous interior space, high levels of functionality and a raised seat position.

The attractive visual contrast between the lower section’s distinctive robustness and the taut body surfaces highlights the Antara’s versatile character. In the interior, generous space for all passengers – with best-in-class 933 millimeters of rear legroom, for example – is complemented by an excellent load volume of up to 1420 liters. The Antara’s luggage compartment can be enhanced by nets, dividing walls, rods and hooks that snap into two rails on each of the side walls when needed, allowing the load area to be separated into different sections. Opel continues this versatility on the exterior with the innovative rear carrier system “Flex Fix”. Even with its large load capacity, the crossover takes up no more space than a mid-size passenger car (length x width x height: 4.57 x 1.85 x 1.70 meters).

The Antara’s intelligent active four-wheel drive system with electro-hydraulic differential ensures safe, agile handling and combines the benefits of pure front-wheel drive − effortless maneuvering, tracking stability when accelerating and increased driving dynamics − with those of four-wheel drive. The Antara also boasts a modern four-channel ABS and ESP system, as well as Descent Control System (DCS). DCS allows the vehicle to safely maintain a constant speed even down steep inclines without the driver needing to brake. It is noteworthy as a standard feature in the Antara segment. The fuel efficiency of the modern crossover makes it even more attractive. The 2.0-liter common-rail turbo-diesel unit with 110 kW/150 hp, for example, requires only 7.5 liters fuel per 100 kilometers. Two gasoline engines are also available: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit with 103 kW/140 hp and the top-of-the-line 3.2-liter V6 with 167 kW/227 hp, which is especially smooth-running and refined.

New Corsa: Aiming for the top with dynamic, exciting design and plenty of comfort

- 4 -

Just in time for its market launch (October 7 in Germany), the fourth-generation Corsa showcases its best features: exciting design with sporty, athletic contours, a newly developed chassis for safe and agile cornering, remarkable high-tech features, high-quality interior, plenty of space and numerous clever ideas such as the integrated rear carrier system “Flex-Fix”. The popular Opel has everything it takes to make its mark on European sales figures. The newcomer also receives top ratings when it comes to safety: the Corsa was awarded a maximum score of five stars for passenger safety in the Euro NCAP (Euro pean New Car Assessment Programme) tests, as well as good marks for its special child passenger and pedestrian protection measures.

The distinctively different coupé-like three-door and family-friendly five-door Corsa models are tailor-made for different types of customers. With its sharp lines and coupé-like roof line, the three-door model is aimed at young adults and the young at heart, while the five-door Corsa version with longer roof line and larger side windows is more likely to appeal to families. Short wheel overhangs and pronounced fenders over the rear highlight the Corsa’s powerful, sporty character, which flows into a chic, elegant interior. Striking new features such as backlit turn buttons create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Piano-lacquer finish used in selected equipment variants refines interior surfaces and sets new benchmarks in this segment. The large variety of options – the infotainment range alone features five systems with output of up to 150 watts – is also unsurpassed in the Corsa class.

Initially available with three gasoline and three common-rail turbo-diesel engines, the Corsa also maintains these premium standards when it comes to driving dynamics and safety. Its steering is one example: a special feature of the speed-dependent electronic power steering is its variable – or in the Sport version variable progressive – feedback curve. A segment first, this technology alters the steering ratio to suit each driving situation. The spectrum ranges from sharp, extremely direct sports car steering to a maneuvering mode. The Corsa’s steering is complemented perfectly by newest-generation ABS and ESP systems that boast additional functions such as Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and Straight-Line Stability control (SLS), as well as a Deflation Detection System (DDS). The combination of dynamic curve light and static cornering light in one lamp unit is also new in this vehicle segment. CorsaVan concept: Sporty, eye-catching city van

- 5 -

The CorsaVan concept study that Opel presents for the first time at the Paris Motor Show boasts sporty looks, high-quality interior and a large load space. Based on the new three- door Corsa, the model showcases how the Corsa’s dynamic style might look if transferred to a city van.

The CorsaVan concept study is the same striking glossy glamour red of the Opel GT debuted at the . To create a bold contrast, the panels that replace the city van concept’s rear side windows are black. Distinctive sporty features include red front brake calipers, 17-inch alloy wheels with five-spoke design and OPC-line components, such as bumpers, side sills and rear spoiler.

Black leather sport seats with red side bolsters on the seat backs, and piano-lacquer surfaces familiar from the Corsa Cosmo create a fresh ambience in the two-seater’s interior. The concept car is powered by a 90 hp, 1.3 CDTI engine with a six-speed- gearbox, while the low sport chassis with the new Corsa Sport’s variable progressive steering ensures outstanding agile handling.

Opel GT: Legendary sports car is reborn

A great name does not have to be long. Indeed, for many automobile fans, the Opel GT is the cult sports car of the 1970s. The new Opel GT, whose eagerly awaited market launch is in spring 2007, is a legitimate successor to the classic sports car despite its individual look. As demonstrated by its Geneva premiere in spring, it has what it takes to charm the public. The new Opel GT is fun to drive thanks to its rear-wheel drive, balanced weight distribution and 191 kW/260 hp 2.0-liter ECOTEC turbo engine with gasoline direct injection. This accelerates the new GT from zero to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and enables a maximum speed of around 230 km/h (preliminary data).

The new GT ’s fabric roof is an additional fun factor, folding down to provide open- air enjoyment denied to the owners of the first GT. The roof disappears completely beneath a cover, further underlining the GT’s sporty silhouette with its short overhangs and widely spaced 18-inch wheels.

Sporty OPC quintet sets standards in driving dynamics

- 6 -

When it comes to top driving dynamics performance, Opel’s OPC range leads the way. This is no small achievement considering the standards that “normal” model versions have already attained. From now on, the Vectra OPC’s position at the top of the range is even more stable thanks to its enhanced 2.8-liter V6 engine with twin-scroll turbocharger and variable valve timing. Following this latest improvement, the top athlete now produces 206 kW/280 hp (previously 188 kW/ 255 hp) and with its optimized chassis, it is even more impressive than ever. The sedan now accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds (6.5 for station wagon), while both are limited to a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Meriva OPC joined the high-performance Opel range at the beginning of this year. With a 180 hp turbo engine and top speed of over 220 km/h, the multi-variable five-seater is unique in the segment. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo ECOTEC engine develops maximum torque of 230 Nm, available in a wide band from 2200 to 5500 rpm. Coupled with the standard six-speed manual gearbox and sport chassis, it forms the basis for the minivan’s performance package. The Meriva OPC accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The standard Overboost system can temporarily increase torque by around 15 percent on demand, providing an exciting addition to performance.

Just like all the OPC models, the Astra OPC and Zafira OPC also impress with their dynamic interiors and exteriors. The 177 kW/240 hp 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine accelerates the coupé-like three-door model to 100 km/h within 6.4 seconds and takes it to a top speed of 244 km/h. With the same engine, the Zafira OPC accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and has a top speed of 231 km/h, making it the fastest production van in the world.

IDS Plus2 , the newest generation of Opel’s chassis control system, matches the high-tech standards of the traditional sporty Opel brand especially well. IDS Plus2 is featured in the Zafira OPC as well as in a specially tuned version for both Vectra OPCs. The IDS Plus2 chassis system with electronic Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and optimized roll and body control combines precise handling and active safety with high ride comfort.

Astra TwinTop: Four-seat cabrio-coupé with innovative retractable steel roof

The Astra TwinTop was first launched in May and is already a winner in production car comparison tests. It distinguishes itself as a coupé among cabrios with its elegant contours and novel retractable roof technology. At the touch of a button, the three-part roof system can be fully opened in less than 30 seconds, providing open-air driving fun. The power loading assistant “Easy Load” is unique in this class and allows easy loading and unloading of luggage, even with the roof down. The Astra TwinTop’s innovative roof technology not only creates up to 440 liters of space in the trunk, but also benefits the car’s sporty, elegant proportions with its wedge-shaped rising shoulder-line and arched, flowing roof line. The Astra TwinTop is also well proportioned at the rear. Regardless of whether the roof is open or closed, there is no bulky tail spoiling the car’s look.

Technologically, the TwinTop benefits from the strengths of the third Astra generation. These include a wide range of engines, with four gasoline units (77 kW/105 hp to 147 kW/200 hp) and one 110 kW/150 hp 1.9-liter CDTI common-rail with diesel particulate filter as standard. The top-of-the-line unit is the 2.0-liter turbo engine with 147 kW/200 hp, which reaches a top speed of 237 km/h. Unique high-tech innovations such as the adaptive IDS Plus chassis (Interactive Driving System) with electronic Continuous Damping Control (CDC), sport mode (SportSwitch) and steering-linked AFL bi-xenon headlamps (Adaptive Forward Lighting) set the Astra TwinTop further apart from its competitors.

Vivaro and Movano: Two successful models for all transport needs

Following their premiere a few days ago at the Commercial Vehicle IAA in Hanover, the new editions of the Opel Vivaro and Movano are now presented to the public in Paris.

The Vivaro enters the market with a fresh look, new, more powerful engines (all comply with Euro 4 emissions standard), improved technology, two new dropside variants − including a low deck version with a load height of just 640 millimeters − as well as an extended equipment range. The new Movano edition also features new, more powerful engines and is now additionally available with ESP Plus .

- 8 -

The new versions have been available to order since summer and the Vivaro will be at dealerships from October (Movano from November). With both new models, Opel strengthens its commitment in the growing commercial vehicle market in the up to 3.5-ton gross weight segment.

Opel has maintained the Vivaro’s successful basic concept with its familiar “Jumbo roof” and developed it further. The characteristic chrome strip with Opel logo on the radiator grille, newly designed headlamps and tail lights round off the attractive design. The new Vivaro edition is also enhanced with numerous technical modifications − not to mention the completely revised engine range. The common-rail turbo-diesel engines offer higher performance than their predecessors, with practically the same fuel consumption. The top- of-the-line 2.5 CDTI units with 107 kW/146 hp come with a maintenance-free diesel particulate filter as standard, and are optionally available with an automated Tecshift six- speed manual , which can help save up to six percent fuel.

Opel model range more diverse and attractive than ever

Opel also presents a wide selection of its current model range in Paris. The model portfolio, ranging from the smart looking Agila microvan to the prestigious Signum, is more diverse and attractive in 2007 than ever before. The larger selection of sporty wheel rims with wide available in almost every model line bears witness to the Opel brand's emphasis on dynamics. The Astra GTC with panorama windshield is a double highlight along these lines. This optional world-exclusive innovation extends from the hood up into the roof to the B-pillar and creates a whole new sense of space and visibility. To ensure the car’s functionality remains optimal, the expansion of the GTC's standard equipment includes the helpful ParkPilot and practical lashing eyes in the trunk. The Astra 1.3 CDTI features a new transmission − the efficient and comfortable 6-speed manual gearbox. The newest addition to the large Opel model family is the Combo “Sport” variant. The new Combo Sport is an ideal complement to the Arizona, boasting higher ground clearance, 16-inch alloy wheels and comfort features such as contoured seats, aluminum pedals and leather steering wheel.
