It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos – The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented. Concentrating on the artist’s musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations, provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories, teach and play. Long Synopsis Who hasn't wanted to be a rock star, join a band or play electric guitar? Music resonates, moves and inspires us. Strummed through the fingers of The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White, somehow it does more. Such is the premise of It Might Get Loud, a new documentary conceived by producer Thomas Tull.

JACK WHITE AND ALICIA KEYS TEAM FOR QUANTUM OF SOLACE THEME SONG -“Another Way To Die” Will Be First Duet In Bond History”- Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the highly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure “Quantum of Solace,” announced today that multi-Grammy Award-winning and platinum selling recording artists Jack White of the rock band The White Stripes, and Alicia Keys, have recorded the theme song for the film, which will be released worldwide this November. Their song, written and produced by Jack White, and titled “Another Way to Die,” will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history. In addition to writing the song, Jack White is also featured as the rummer on this track. The soundtrack to QUANTUM OF SOLACE will be released by J Records on October 28, 2008. Daniel Craig reprises his role as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in QUANTUM OF SOLACE, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions’ 22nd adventure in the longest-running film franchise in motion picture history. The film is directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay is by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade as well as Paul Haggis and the film’s score will be composed by David Arnold. Wilson and Broccoli said: "We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia, who were inspired by our film to join together their extraordinary talents in creating a unique sound for QUANTUM OF SOLACE." • Fire Power a Solo Exhibition of New Work by Alison Mosshart Opening Reception: June 18Th | 59 PM Exhibition Dates: June 18Th – July 11Th, 2015
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Joseph Gross Gallery presents: Alison Mosshart, “Paleeyed Boy”, 2013, watercolor, acrylic and graphite, 8 x 4.5 in. Fire Power A solo exhibition of new work by Alison Mosshart Opening Reception: June 18th | 59 PM Exhibition Dates: June 18th – July 11th, 2015 May 20, 2015 (New York, NY) – Joseph Gross Gallery is pleased to present Fire Power, a solo exhibition of new works by Alison Mosshart. Fire Power marks the artist’s first solo show and includes 127 never before exhibited pieces including paintings, drawings, mixed media, and tapestries that reflect Mosshart’s life on the road. Joseph Gross Gallery will host an opening reception on June 18th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Chelsea at 548 W 28th Street, Suite 232. Best known for her role as singer/songwriter for The Kills and The Dead Weather, Alison Mosshart is a selftaught artist whose work is personal, intuitive and responsive without being overthought. A lifelong ‘maker,’ Mosshart created art as often as she could while on tour; only recently was she able to settle into a more formal studio space, allowing for the expansion into larger works. The work in Fire Power glorifies the transience of life on the road, with each piece a snapshot of a person, conversation, place, time or mood in Mosshart’s continuously mobile life. Works in Fire Power can be grouped into informal series’ including portraits, works on Persian carpets, and ‘tire track’ abstract pieces. These experimental tire track paintings, such as Test Drive (2014), were borne out of numerous remote control cars, tire treads, paints, inks, and varieties of paper.

  • A Silly Music Packet by Anderson Wang Note
A silly music packet by Anderson Wang Note: Two answers required. 1. In truly the most ambitious crossover of all time, EMI released a split EP of these two bands in 2001. A 2018 Onion headline says that the singer of one of these two bands “Admits Vast Majority of Musical Output Fueled By Constant Fear Of Being One-Upped By” the other band. Both of these bands were nominated for Best Album at the 2009 Grammys, but it was won by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, so we still don’t know which one is superior. In 2017, one of these bands jokingly tweeted “Finally somebody had the balls to say it” after (*) Fox News personality Kat Timpf called one of these bands the “poor man’s [other of these bands]” and said they “stole everything from” the other. For 10 points, name these two often-compared British bands behind the albums In Rainbows and Viva la Vida. ANSWER: Radiohead and Coldplay Note: Three answers required. 2. The track “Rock It On” from the Jet Set Radio soundtrack repeatedly samples the lines “Viva la revolucion!”, “Rock that shit, homie!”, and a line mentioning these three things. The title of an album by the Japanese experimental rock band Ghost references these three actions, replacing the last one with “Free Tibet”. A line mentioning two of these three things is rhymed with “Ladies flock like bees to a hive” in the Beastie Boys song “Hey Ladies”. The “Taxi” commercial for Levi’s popularized a track whose title references these things, the most famous song by (*) Freak Power.
