SCHEDULES AND PACKAGES CAN BE CUSTOMIZED FOLLOWING YOUR REQUESTS AND NEEDS

DAY 1: Arrival at Catania Airport, meet the assistant, individual transfer to Palazzolo Acreide where a typical historical structure will welcome us followed by a typical dinner at a local trattoria. DAY 2: breakfast at a local pasticceria with cannolo siciliano class, full day dedicated to the visit of Palazzolo Acreide (part of the UNESCO, the most beautiful burg in , Slow Food town): visit to the town center and its marvelous churches S. Paolo, S. Sebastiano, dell’Annunziata. Lunch is an open air barbeque with local meats from local farms. Visit to the archeological area of the of Akrai 663 B.C. with smallest greek theater in the world, latomie with bassorilievo from the first century A.D, and visit to the archeological museum of Barone Gabriele Judica. Night Aperitif and free time (traditional walk through the main street of the town: “lo struscio”.

DAY 3: homemade breakfast with fresh ricotta and fresh milk from a local farm, we will visit the cheese production locations and we will learn how to make a caciotta with our own hands. Visit to local bio olive oil production place, really famous all over the world “Tonda Iblea”. Visit to the ancient Pantalica, last Sicilian reign and the beautiful natural reserve of the “macchia mediterranea”. Short break to taste the local arancino and visit of the town of Ferla with its rare churches. Back to Palazzolo, we will go for a local aperitif at night followed by free time (and card games to learn a local ancient game!). DAY 4: breakfast at a local pasticceria, and full day dedicated to the sea. Visit of the Vendicari, a marvelous reserve with the ruins of an ancient tuna fish boat. Walk through Marzamemi, an ancient small fish town, famous for its tuna preparation, and visit to the local tuna fish production location. Free lunch (we can suggest a local restaurant of “friends of friends” with a spectacular view of the sea). Tour of

Portopalo di Capo Passero where two seas meet and short stop at town, famous for its wine Nero d’Avola and the almonds. Back to Palazzolo and free dinner. DAY 5: breakfast at a local pasticceria, tour of the town, Buscemi Museum telling the life of the old town farmers. Visit to the old Santa Lucia Mill and Antonino Uccello Museum, a professor who was in love with his land. Lunch at a local trattoria. Afternoon dedicated to the splendid Siracusa with guided tour and night show of Pupi Siciliani in Ortigia. Free time in Ortigia to explore the small streets of the ancient neighborhoods. Back to Palazzolo.

DAY 6: breakfast at a local pasticceria and walk to the Bauly Wood to go hunting for truffles. The famous Black truffle of Palazzolo, followed by a cooking class led by a local chef with final lunch. Free afternoon. Back to Palazzolo Acreide and dinner with the Mayor of Palazzolo who will award you with the “citizen friend of Palazzolo Acreide” title. DAY 7: breakfast at a local pasticceria with free gifts for our guests, transfer to the Airport in Catania.
