! OVS - Season 3 Episode 1: Where There Is Shadow, There Is Light ! Act I ! Remy quickly called for the paramedics to send up a kit to him and a backboard. Shaking his hands from the cold, he grabbed the bag and dropped it near his side. As he was opening the bag, he turned to the paramedic who had stuck his head up through the hatch. "Call down and get them to bring the ?ire trucks as close to the lighthouse as they can. They're going to need a large ladder to bring her down." Somehow on the narrow platform they were going to have to load the injured woman on the board to get her down safely. Quickly, he grabbed a blanket from the kit and wrapped it around Natalia's lower body and then turned to look back to Natalia with an apologetic look. ! Olivia could feel the shivers from her partner as the younger woman lay in her arms. Keeping pressure on the wound with one hand, she felt around her with one hand and located the blanket Natalia had been using earlier. She wrapped it around her partner's shoulders, then returned to apply pressure, and noted the wince on the younger woman's face. Continuing to gently brush her ?ingers along Natalia's face, Olivia wished that somehow she could do more. "Hold on, sweetheart. You're going to be okay. See. Remy's here taking good care of you." ! Checking the injured woman's pulse again, Remy noted that it was racing. He slid the blood pressure cuff onto the woman's upper arm and pumped it up.

Spring Fever GUIDING LIGHT SHIFTS SOUTH FOR A STORYLINE FILLED WITH FUN AND INTRIGUE 1 or the past two years, CBS’ Guiding Light has been filming many of its scenes set in fictional Springfield in the real-life town of Peapack, N.J. But this past March, the innovative soap shipped its cameras farther south, to Univer- sal Studios’ theme parks in Orlando, to carry out F one of its storylines. Prompting the fun relocation was young Shayne Lewis (Jeff Branson), who, in an effort to woo Lizzie Spaulding (Marcy Rylan), whisks her 2 3 off for a week in the sun. For Lizzie, the trip represented a chance to live the childhood she feels she never had. For the assorted other relatives, friends—and, naturally, enemies—who tagged along, it was a means for each to advance his or her own secret agenda. And for fans of TV's longest-running daytime drama, Guiding Light's days shooting amid the theme park’s rain forests and roller coasters provided an opportunity—rare for television— to get an up-close and personal look at the stars who have been entertaining us for decades. 4 1 The Spaulding clan plus a 2 Dinah (Gina Tognoni) and 3 Karla Mosley, Caitlin VanZandt 4 Bill (Cosgrove) tries Lewis (left to right, Ron Raines, Shayne (Jeff Branson) have a laugh and Bonnie Dennison smile for the to provide Lizzie (Rylan) the Beth Chamberlin, Grant Aleksander, as they try to figure out where to camera.

Boxes of Christmas ornaments and decorations were strewn around the living room, on the floor and on the table as Emma sought out her favorite ornament, a rather simple red ball, with her name embossed with glitter. Finding what she was looking for, she jumped up and went into the kitchen. Not finding her mommies there, she frowned slightly, wondering where they had gone. “Mom? Ma? Where are you?” the girl asked, realizing that they probably hadn’t gone too far as she could smell the cookies in the oven, and she knew Natalia wouldn’t let them burn. Stomping her feet in the back porch to clear the snow from her boots, Natalia shivered. “Hey, sweetie, did you find what you were looking for?” “Yep.” Emma tilted her head to the side slightly. “What were you doing outside?” “Just giving your mom a kiss. She had to make a run into the Beacon to pick something up.” Emma’s inquisitive mind seemed to be working something out in her head. “But it’s Christmas Eve. I thought she brought everything home with her.” “She thought so, too.
