Carried 5.0 Consent Agenda Moved by Councillor McDermid Seconded by Councillor McKenzie THAT Council receives the Consent Agenda items 5.1 to 5.6, and approves the June 4, Page 3 of 49 Agenda Item #5.1. Becker, Manager of Court Services was available for questions. Moved by Councillor Eidt Seconded by Councillor Herlick THAT Perth County Council receives the “POA Operational Update to County Council & MSSC” report for information. Carried 7.2 Planning Services 7.2.1 Request for Extension of Draft Plan Approval for the Terrier Subdivision, File No. NP 10-01. Sally McMullen, Manager of Planning, was available for questions. Moved by Councillor Kellum Seconded by Councillor Kasenberg THAT the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth grant a 1-year extension of Draft Plan Approval for the Terrier Subdivision, File No. NP 10-01 Pt. Lot 34, (Conc. 1, Geographic Township of Elma (Victoria Ave. S., Listowel Ward, Municipality of North Perth); and that in doing so the Draft Plan approval for this development will lapse on July 15, 2021. Carried 7.3 Paramedic Services 7.3.1 Paramedic Services MSSC Report M. Gilpin, Director of Paramedic Services, was available for questions. Perth County Council Minutes June 18, 2020 THAT Perth County Council receives” Paramedic Service Municipal Shared Services Committee (MSSC) April 2020 Report”; and THAT Council approved the report for submission to the June 18, 2020 meeting of the Municipal Shared Services Committee. Carried 7.4 Public Works 7.4.1 Rannoch Speed Limit – (PW/Roads – 2020) J. McClelland, Director of Public Works was available for questions. J. McClelland provided clarification regarding Whalen Line boundary and boundary road policy. Also, discussed winter modernization project. Moved by Councillor Wilhelm Seconded by Councillor Herlick THAT Perth County Council receives the “Rannoch Speed Limit – (PW/Roads – 2020)” report; and THAT Council approves the 60 km/hr speed zone on Perth Road 163 in the village of Rannoch; and Further THAT, Schedule B of By-Law 2674 is amended to include the 200 meter long speed zone, on Perth Road 163, in the village of Rannoch. Carried 8.0 Council Reports 8.1 Provincial and Federal Messaging RE: Physical Distancing Councillor Herlick – Resolution Moved by Councillor Herlick Seconded by Councillor McDermid THAT Council correspond with Provincial and Federal representatives regarding a concern that efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 since March 2020 are jeopardized by recent increases in public gatherings; and, THAT Council request that Provincial and Federal representatives clarify and communicate messaging to the public pertaining to the guidelines and expectations of all Ontarians and Canadians for physical distancing and public gatherings as efforts continue to slow the spread of COVID-19.
