1. CALL TO ORDER AND WARDEN’S REMARKS

Council met with all members present except Councillor Shipway. Warden Vanderheyden presided.

Warden Vanderheyden welcomed the Optimist Students and newly elected county councillors to the meeting.

Warden Vanderheyden thanked Julie Gonyou, County Librarian and Jim Gates, County Treasurer for hosting the Mock Council Meeting with the Optimist Students in the morning.

2. PROVISION FOR DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND GENERAL NATURE THEREOF

Councillor Bloomfield declared a pecuniary interest in item 11.A.1. - Notice of Hearing - Application for Council Exemption for Clear Cutting of Woodlands – Bloomfield as he is related to the applicants.

Moved by Councillor Maudsley Seconded by Councillor Meyer That the by-law to designate through highways County Roads No. 1 to 81 inclusive be approved subject to a modification allowing for the stop condition at Catherine Street at Bridge Street to remain; and that the by-law be forwarded to County Council for approval. Carried.

2. Proposed Plan of Condominium, Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, File No. 39T-SC-CDM1401, Reman Corporation • Report from Durk Vanderwerff, Manager of Planning

Moved by Councillor Maudsley Seconded by Councillor Bolton That the proposed Plan of Condominium (File No. 39T-SC-CDM1401) be granted draft plan approval subject to conditions and that a Notice of Decision be circulated as required by the Planning Act. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Reycraft Seconded by Councillor Hall That the bid submitted by Oxford Dodge for the supply of one (1) RAM 1500 SLT model 1/2 ton pick-up truck at a cost of $30,328.45.00 (plus HST) be accepted. Carried.

12. INQUIRIES

a) Southwest Middlesex School Closures Councillor Reycraft noted that the Thames Valley District School Board trustees rejected the TVDSB administration recommendation to close Mosa Central, build an addition to the Ekcoe Central. Status quo will apply to both public schools and the Glencoe District High School.

b) Thank you Councillor Hodgins addressed County Council noting that he is proud and honoured to have represented Lucan Biddulph at County Council during the past four years.
