There was an excellent display of Robots as you entered. There was also a display of Sci Fi cars such as the original Batmobile, Men in Black car, the island car, and other neato stuff. They would let you sit in the car and have your picture taken for a 10 spot. There was also the bridge of the original Star Trek Enterprise, with wax replicas of the stars. You could get your picture on the bridge with the wax figures for a monetary donation. I got a chance to talk to all the Worldcon bid committees as I was waiting for stuff to get going. I fell into an excellent book giveaway from a fanÕs estate. They would set out books from his private collection for the taking. I did acquire a signed Poul Anderson hardback for my own collec- tion. The Dealers Room opened, but I didnÕt see that mad dash that I usually see at Worldcons. The room was well stocked, McCaffrey autograph session.
