MCA 700 Discography by David Edwards, Mike Callahan & Patrice Eyries © 2018 by Mike Callahan MCA-700 Midline/Reissue Series: By the time the reissue series reached MCA-700, most of the ABC reissues had been accomplished in the MCA 500-600s. MCA decided that when full price albums were converted to midline prices, the albums needed a new number altogether rather than just making the administrative change. In this series, we get reissues of many MCA albums that were only one to three years old, as well as a lot of Decca reissues. Rather than pay the price for new covers and labels, most of these were just stamped with the new numbers in gold ink on the front covers, with the same jackets and labels with the old catalog numbers. • Uncork the Blues: Mindi Abair's CD Release Is a Toast to Spring
Uncork The Blues: Mindi Abair's CD Release is a Toast to Spring By Lynn Orman Weiss Combining blues and booze is like spring and flowers – they bring happiness and joy to the soul. During the pandemic, Can't Stop The Blues Livestream brought together a beautiful community by producing concerts featuring artists from around the world with audiences watching worldwide. The broadcasts into our homes, along with pre-show and post-show "meet & greets" in real time, has kept blues lovers sane. Tuesday night's show, Mindi Abair's Wine + Music Sessions was addictive – it's one of the CSTB’s that’s hard to miss – or if you miss any of it you want to go back and watch it again. The best part is uncorking a bottle of wine and chillaxing on Mindi's Hollywood backporch with her A-list guests. Guests have included, Rick Estrin, Rick Braun, Melanie Taylor (Aerosmith), Peter White, Casey Abrams, Patrick Bradley and most recently, rockantaur Bill Champlin. "Good Day For The Blues" is the mantra for Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers and they’ll have a good day April 9th when they do their first livestream, full-band concert at 5pm PDT on Alert The Globe to celebrate her new release, The Best of Mindi Abair. Mindi will be playing her biggest hits including the debut of her brand new single, "April," all part of the 19-song collection. Adding a sweet note to Mindi's performances is the PSA, "Drinking with Eric," an intermission about the wine and her charitable endeavor.

  • Blues Rock Star Joe Bonamassa Announces Highly Anticipated New Studio Album
BLUES-ROCK STAR JOE BONAMASSA ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE "TIME CLOCKS" TAKEN FROM HIS NEW STUDIO ALBUM 'TIME CLOCKS' TO BE RELEASED OCT 29 PRE-ORDER “TIME CLOCKS” https://smarturl.it/JoeB-MLG LISTEN TO THE “TIME CLOCKS” SINGLE HERE: https://smarturl.it/JoeBonamassa WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “TIME CLOCKS” HERE: https://youtu.be/Z7116ryQV-I Guitar legend Joe Bonamassa today reveals his stunningly sweeping new single, "Time Clocks." This is the third song taken from his forthcoming brand-new studio album of the same name, released on October 29 via Provogue (Europe) and J&R Adventures (North America). Joe continues his soul-searching evolution on this beautifully poignant Bonamassa-Shirley penned song. At just over seven minutes long, it has all the epic musical grandeur of him at his most expressive and ambitious. With a heart on sleeve narrative weaving its way throughout, the rousing chorus rises to the heavens as he sings, "and the rain soaking through my coat, about to capsize my boat I push it along away from the docks, I was never a good puncher of time clocks." Backed with cascading vocals from Juanita Tippins and Prinnie Stevens, as well as the supreme musicianship of Anton Fig (Drums), Steve Mackey (Bass), Lachy Doley (Piano/Organ) and Kevin Shirley (Percussion), it has an aura of pure timelessness. The album was recorded in New York City and took Joe back to his early roots and rediscovers him at a newfound peak with an unparalleled Blues Rock prowess. Known as the man in the suit, loved by many as the ultimate guitar hero, and cited by critics as "the world's biggest blues guitarist" (Guitar World), somehow the music mastermind has found yet another layer of immense new artistry to share with his fans.
