Against then-No. 17 Houston, he registered 107 yards off 20 carries and a pair of TDs to lead SMU’s run game. It was League Overall his second career 100-yard game and second career two TD game. Starting with the TCU game on Sept. 16, 2017, Freeman posted a stretch of six straight SMU 4-2 5-5 games with a rushing TD, the longest for a Mustang since Reggie Dupard’s streak of 13 straight (last 6 1984, first 7 Houston 4-2 7-3 1985). He also added 14 receptions for 84 yards. In SMU’s win over UConn last week, Jones registered 133 yards off 11 carries. He also added a pair of rushing TDs for his sixth career multi-rushing TD game. The 52-yard score was the longest of his career, and longest rush overall this season. East Jones has six career games of 100+ yards rushing, 22 career rushing TDs and 2,152 yards off 417 carries. In just eight games this season, the sophomore is second on the team with 648 receiving yards and six TDs. His receiving ECU 0-6 2-7 yards, receiving yards per game (81.0) and receptions per game (5.3) all rank sixth in The American, while his receiving UConn 0-6 1-9 TDs are seventh. Roberson was named the AAC Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 24 after posting a 98-yard kickoff return THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15 for a TD in the win over Navy. He had two returns for 124 yards and 167 all-purpose yards. In the game against Cincinnati, Roberson registered seven catches for 147 yards and two TDs en route to honor roll accolades. MONDAY, DECEMBER 31 Military Bowl 11 a.m., ESPN BACK AT IT Jordan Wyatt ranks atop SMU’s all-time lists with five defensive return touchdowns and four career interception return All Times Central touchdowns. He finished 2017 with 288 career interception return yards, also the most for a Mustang, and became just the sixth player in FBS history to record an interception return and fumble recovery for touchdowns in the same game 2017 week one against Stephen F. Austin. FUTURE SCHEDULES Wyatt registered his first takeaway of 2018 against Cincinnati, an interception on the Mustangs’ 3-yard line. Among national active leaders, Wyatt tops the list for career interception return TDs (4), career defensive return TDs 2019 (5) and career interception return yards (289). He is tied for fourth in active career fumbles forced (8). His 11 career Aug. 31 - at Arkansas State interceptions place him tied for eighth on SMU’s all-time list (T-3 active nationally). Dykes arrived on the Hilltop after head coaching stints DYKES COACHING EXPERIENCE at Cal and Louisiana Tech. 1995-96 Navarro College (Assistant Coach Running Backs/Quarterbacks) Dykes spent four seasons at Cal (2013-16) and three seasons at Louisiana Tech (2010-12). 1997 Kentucky (Graduate Assistant Special Teams/Wide Receivers) At Cal, Dykes returned the school’s football program to national 1998 Northeast Louisiana (Assistant Coach Wide Receivers) prominence and a post-season bowl game.
