FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: John Stouffer Monday, June 5, 2017 [email protected] FORMER UFC BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION MIESHA TATE AND RETIRED CONTENDER KENNY FLORIAN SERVE AS ANALYSTS FOR FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: LEWIS VS. HUNT John Gooden and Brian Stann Call Fights from New Zealand LOS ANGELES – Former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate (@MieshaTate) and retired contender Kenny Florian (@KennyFlorian) serve as analysts on the FOX Sports desk with host Karyn Bryant (@KarynBryant) for FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: LEWIS VS. HUNT on Saturday, June 10. Retired contender Brian Stann (@BrianStann) joins blow-by-blow announcer John Gooden (@JohnGoodenUK) to call the fights live from New Zealand, while reporter Heidi Androl (@HeidiAndrol) interviews fighters on-site. UFC bantamweight Erik “Goyito” Perez (@Goyito_Perez) and Victor Davila (@mastervic10) call the Spanish language telecast on FOX Deportes. After more than 12 years as a professional mixed martial artist, No. 7-ranked heavyweight Mark Hunt (12-11-1, 1NC) has never fought in his native New Zealand. On June 10, “The Super Samoan” returns home to face No. 6 Derrick Lewis (18-4, 1NC) in the five-round headliner in Auckland. On what is sure to be an emotional night, Hunt looks to stop the rise of Lewis, who has won six in a row in the Octagon, five by knockout. FOX UFC analyst Michael Bisping says fans shouldn’t miss the Lewis vs. Hunt headliner: “Somebody is going to get knocked out in this one. If you’re a fan of seeing big, gigantic heavyweights, throwing hell for leather in each and every single shot, then tune into this fight. Both of these guys have two of the most entertaining styles in the UFC. They’re fun to watch. Don’t miss it.” Watch the extended preview from last Saturday’s FS1 UFC 212 POSTFIGHT SHOW here. The three-hour main card begins Saturday on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 10:00 PM ET and features five more exciting fights. No. 8-ranked middleweight Derek Brunson (16-5) fights No. 15 Dan Kelly (13-1), while Dan Hooker (14-7) and Ross Pearson (21-13, 1NC) square off in a lightweight bout. Light heavyweights Ion Cutelaba (12-3, 1NC) and Henrique da Silva (12-2) go to battle. No. 8-ranked flyweight Tim Elliot (15-7-1) fights No. 12 Ben Nguyen (16-6), while Alexander Volkanovski (14-1) and Mizuto Hirota (19-7-2) open the main card with a featherweight bout. The two-hour UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS are on FS1 at 8:00 PM ET, with four bouts. Lightweights Damien Brown (17-9) and Vinc Pichel (9-1) collide. Luke Jumeau (11-3) takes on Dominique Steele (14-8) at 170 pounds, while No. 11 John Moraga (16-6) fights Ashkan Mokhtarian (13-1) in a flyweight tilt. Kiichi Kunimoto (18-6-2, 1NC) and Zak Ottow (14-4) open the PRELIMS with a welterweight bout. Saturday’s coverage begins on FS1 at 7:00 PM ET with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW, hosted by Bryant with Florian, Tate and reporter Androl. The action wraps up after immediately following the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW.
