DAN HARDY, FORMER UFC WELTERWEIGHT CONTENDER, PROVIDES ANALYSIS FOR SATURDAY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HUNT VS. MIR ON FS1

Hardy Joins Brian Stann to Break Down Battle of Top-Ranked Heavyweights

LOS ANGELES – Former UFC welterweight contender Dan Hardy (@danhardymma) joins the FOX UFC talent team for FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HUNT VS. MIR live on FS1 on Saturday, March 19 (10:00 PM ET). Hardy, who lives in England and has worked as the color commentator for UFC FIGHT NIGHT broadcasts, joins the FS1 desk as an analyst alongside retired UFC fighter Brian Stann (@BrianStann) and host Karyn Bryant (@KarynBryant) in FOX Sports’ Los Angeles studios for Friday and Saturday’s coverage of the event.

Jon Anik (@Jon_Anik) and (@KennyFlorian) call the fights on FS1 live from , , while Victor Davila and UFC champion Fabricio Werdum (@FabricioWerdum) call the action in Spanish on FOX Deportes.

The three-hour main card is headlined by an highly anticipated five-round heavyweight showdown between ninth-ranked “The Super Samoan” (11-10-1, 1NC) and former two-time UFC heavyweight champion and No. 10-ranked Frank Mir (18-10). Still one of the most potent punchers in the sport, the 41-year-old Hunt knocked out Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in fewer than four minutes in their anticipated UFC 193 rematch. Mir’s storied career continues to add compelling chapters, as he has won two of his last three bouts, knocking out both Silva and .

The main card also features the return of No. 13-ranked welterweight (35-4-1, 1NC) vs. No. 9 Neil Magny (17-4), while Jake Matthews (10-1) and Johnny Case (22-4) face off in another welterweight contest. Middleweight Daniel Kelly (10-1) faces Antonio Carlos Junior (6-1, 1NC). Plus, James Te Huna (18-8) and Steve Bosse (10-1) tangle in another middleweight bout and Bec Rawlings (6-4) battles Seohee Ham (16-6) in a strawweight bout to open the main card.

The two-hour FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS on FS1 and FOX Deportes begin at 8:00 PM ET and feature four bouts. Brendan O’Reilly (6-1-1) faces Alan Jouban (12-4) in a welterweight clash, while Dan Hooker (13-6) faces Mark Eddiva (6-2) in a featherweight bout. Leslie Smith (7-6-1) and Rin Nakai (16-1-1) square off in a bantamweight challenge. Welterweights Rich Walsh (9-4) and Viscardi Andrade (18-7) kick off the PRELIMS with a welterweight scrap.

Saturday’s coverage begins on FS1 (7:30 PM ET) with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW hosted by Bryant, with Hardy and Stann providing analysis. Heidi Androl (@HeidiAndrol) interviews fighters on-site. The evening wraps up after the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW. The FS1 UFC WEIGH-IN SHOW takes place on Friday, March 18, (6:00 PM ET) on FS2 and is hosted by Bryant, with Stann and Hardy on the desk.
