Due to popular demand we have increased our range of smokes and coloured Flares. The new Smokes are ignited by a ring pull and are designed for hand held use, the Flares are also designed for hand held use and after the coloured flare they finish with a sparkling fountain effect, they are pretty cool! We have also designed a new sparkler made out of wood so there is no hot wire after burning, aside from being safer they are also more environmentally friendly, we have two sizes, 36cm and a whopping 1 metre!* We also are rather proud of our new gigantic 1 metre confetti cannon called THE MOTHERFLUTTER and we also introduce our 50cm gender reveal confetti cannons in pink and blue called the LITTLE FLUTTERS. Both the Motherflutter and Little Flutters are made with new technology confetti so they are shiny paper but also biodegradable. Our sparklers are of the highest quality and our new wooden Sparkle Sticks are going to be a real winner. There are similar issues with indoor fountains, inferior fountains will be rather smoky and have a fallout of dross.     Dress Code / What to Wear What should I wear? Is there a dress code? Members and Day Members visiting the Members Area, including guests visiting the Sponsors Deck are required to dress appropriately “Kimberley casual style” no ripped jeans, thongs or t shirts display rude, crude, or offensive wording or artwork. Please be aware that the Member Area Dress Code will be strictly enforced, and Broome Turf Club reserves the right to refuse entry to any person considered inappropriately attired. There is no formal dress code for General Admission, however racegoers are encouraged to dress for a smart occasion. We have lots of grassed areas and outdoor bars, so smart casual attire and tailored denim is also welcomed in General Admission. We would encourage you not to wear thongs for your own safety. Ticketing & Entry Where can I find ticket information? Broome Turf Club do not pre-sell General Admission or Day Members passes prior to each raceday to allow for the control of on course crowd numbers to comply with the Club’s Liquor Licencing requirements. There are celebrations in the street, people dress up in costumes, there's lots of music and everyone is happy because winter is over and spring is almost here. But this year is a bit strange, since there will be no Carnival in the streets. Luckily that doesn't stop us from having fun at home with our own Carnival festivities! For every day of the week during Carnival, the BELvue museum will teach you something about a different Carnival festival somewhere in Belgium! After all, every Carnival is different, with its own customs and special traditions. With the fun games in this booklet and the sometimes critical questions about our traditions, you will soon become a real Carnival expert. Print this booklet out and complete a page for every day of Carnival week. And during the school holiday make sure to visit the BELvue museum, where you'll find a beautiful mask in our exhibition on famous comic strip artist Comès! Do you know Gille de Binche? He's a famous Carnival character. If you look really carefully, you'll find him in our gallery of typically Belgian objects! Alaaf? During the Carnival festivities in some cities, such as Eupen and in Flanders, people traditionally greet each other with a hearty Alaaf! This traditional greeting comes from Germany. So don't say hello during Carnival! As you greet the other person, bring the back of your right hand to the left side of your face in a kind of backward salute.
