Babalola & Njabuliso Nsibande Department of Educational Foundations and Management, University of Eswatini Kingdom of Eswatini Oluwatosin Babalola Department of Architecture Covenant University Otta Ogun State Nigeria Abstract The purpose of this study was to diagnose the dominant leadership styles of public high school leaders (principals and vice principals) in Eswatini with the aim of identifying their management and leadership training needs that have been ignored hitherto. The study adopted the Blake and Mouton‘s Self-Assessment Questionnaire and purposefully selected 20 high schools and 40 school leaders who served as respondents, comprising 20 principals and 20 vice principals, evenly distributed across the four regions of the country. Using a descriptive analysis and matrix tables, answers were provided to five questions that guided the study. The findings revealed that although the predominant styles of high school leaders in Eswatini were middle- of-the road and team approaches, they still exhibited the need for leadership improvement as evidenced by shortfalls on both the task-achievement and the relationship scales respectively. The findings further revealed that the need for leadership improvement was more pronounced for female leaders and those without prior management and leadership training. The study therefore, recommended that opportunities for leadership improvement be made possible by the Ministry of Education and Training in partnership with the University of Eswatini. Introduction Leaders generally exhibit either task-oriented behaviour, people-oriented governance or the combination of the two managerial dimensions to achieve industrial peace and productivity. The task-oriented behaviour deals with a general concern for production measured in terms of the degree to which a leader emphasises organization‘s objectives, efficiency, and productivity when deciding how best to accomplish a task. On the other hand, people-oriented behaviour, deals with a general concern for people measured in terms of the degree to which a leader considers the needs, interests and personal development of team members when deciding how best to accomplish a task. The type of behaviour that a leader displays at work is vital in building healthy work environments

The UBBS had developed from the Pius XII Catholic University College at Roma – so our history has quite deep roots. UNESWA achieved its independent status as a fully-fledged University in 1982. Since achieving university status, UNESWA has continued to grow and to develop in accordance with its stated aim of assisting national development. Student enrolment in accordance has risen steadily, paralleled by an ever-increasing output of graduates since the University’s first Congregation for the conferment of Degrees in 1982. In all 20545 degrees have been conferred, 1156 of them at the 2019 Graduation. The chief mandate, which the university has tried to implement, is human resource production. This is clearly indicated in the type of programmes selected at the beginning, which still constitute a major part of UNESWA programmes.

Culturally, many people have negative beliefs regarding the causes of disabilities. Disability may be associated with punishment by gods, ancestral spirits resulting from mother‟s promiscuity during pregnancy, witchcraft, or evil spirits. This article focuses on challenges and opportunities of young children with disabilities who live in the rural communities of Eswatini and Zimbabwe, and related to accessing early childhood development (ECD) education services. Lessons drawn between the two countries reveal that in Eswatini, the Disability Unit which caters for disability issues is under the Social Welfare Department and is accommodated in the Deputy Prime Minister‟s Office. In Zimbabwe, Chikwature, Oyedele and Ntini (2016) noted that an inclusive education policy is still yet to be drafted. Disability issues are still not fully represented constitutionally. Using the social exclusion theory enabled the researcher to determine how deeply rooted social exclusion is in the attitudes of teachers and rural communities. Using interviews and focus group discussions, 30 parents/caregivers for children with disabilities, aged 4 to 5 years, were purposively sampled for study. Results showed that the failure of these children to access ECD services in the community impacts negatively on their holistic development.

Laboratories in many countries among which include Nigeria are unable to evaluate drug resistance, and clinical predictors of MDR-TB might help target suspected patients. Method: The study was a cross sectional study design. Multistage sampling technique was employed in the selection of 403 tuberculosis patients. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Level of significance was set at P<0.05. Results: Fifty three 53 (13.2%) of the total respondent had MDR-TB compare to national prevalence of 8% which is steeper among males 36(67.9%) (p>0.05). Education and Occupation shows a significant association with MDR-TB, (÷2=24.640, p = 0.007) and (÷2=14.416, p=0.006) respectively, smoking (r=0.074, p<0.05) and alcohol consumption (r=0.083, p>0.05) show no significant association with occurrence MDR-TB.
