Congratulations to Waterloo Wolves’ alum, Steve Lo- rentz, on being named a road game Assistant Captain with the Peterborough Petes. In 2012, Steve was drafted by the Petes in the 12th round; 226th overall. Since then, he has grown 7", gained 60 lb. and after scoring 23 goals in just 58 games, has proved any sceptics wrong. 2016-17 is Steve’s final junior hockey season. We are truly proud of them. It is our hope that the traits learned while wearing the uniform of the Waterloo Wolves will follow these young men throughout their academic, athletic, and business pursuits. Over the years it has been very exciting to see our players move on the compete in all levels of Junior hockey, college/university play, European league and NHL. As of the end of the 2015-16 seasons, 14 seasons in all, we have seen: 3 of our players make it to the NHL 17 players graduate to Junior A Over 70 players graduate to Junior B Over 30 players graduate to Junior C We have many alumni playing hockey at universities and col- leges in Canada and the US, as well as players in Europe. We even have an alum officiating in the NHL and another in the AHL! As Willy Huber always says, "Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf". We encourage all Wolves' alumni to keep us updated on their progress in hockey.
