Koppany Valley is located in one of the most underdeveloped Hungarian territories considering serious economic, social and infrastructural issues. Despite this fact, there is significant potential regarding the green energy sector if taking into account essential amount of local raw bio- material production. The estimated theoretical potential of biomass in the area is substantial, although however it is complicated to realise due to the social barriers such as lack of knowledge and low level of awareness regarding renewables among the local stakeholders. During 16 months of our research the most important social, economic and biomass production data of the examined settlements were collected primarily as well as secondary statistical data. Three hundred questionnaires were distributed in 10 rural settlements of the tested micro region. It was concentrated to three main parts of questions: general information about respondents (background information), awareness regarding renewable energy and different types of sources and a separate block considered biomass data specifically. In the questionnaire mostly Likert scale and multiple choice questions were applied. The study of social and natural opportunities for the renewable energy utilization helps to determine local economic circumstances by describing the social environment of the Koppany Valley. The main factors affecting public behavior towards local sustainable energy improvement were investigated.

The first has as its main target the competitiveness of Spa Tourism in two Regions of Hungary - in settlements with different characteristics; the second, recognising the need for a new way to measure competitiveness in the sector, deals with the creation of a new competitiveness index. The benefits of virtually all forms of Tourism - economic or social – are well enough known to need no repetition. This is especially true of such fields as Spa or Health Tourism, in which there is a natural trend towards longer stays and higher expenditure by visitors. For a relatively poor country such as Hungary – weak in natural resources apart from agricultural land – the basic presence of a generous supply of easily accessible thermal or medicinal water below a huge proportion of its surface area (70%) is a remarkable gift. Nevertheless, many factors are to be studied if a rational, sustainable development policy is to be elaborated by public and private interests. There are many spas – settlements with thermal or medicinal waters (or both) - spread across Hungary, and their variety is extraordinary. There are huge differences in terms of size, visitor numbers, accommodation facilities, overnights, leisure or treatment facilities and location – that is, their closeness to favourable population areas (domestic or foreign).

Delimiting the “Balaton Riviera” tourist destination by using network analysis Eszter MADARÁSZ1 and Zsófia PAPP2 Abstract Recently the recognition of the role, potential within, and analysis of networks has been increasing in business and academic areasl. Network analysis has also been applied widely in tourism, as numerous researchers are studying connections among elements of tour- ism, with the main focus on destinations, cooperation and the effi ciency of cooperation among players of destination management organisations. The methodology applied in those researches has reinvented social network analyis, which has noteable historical roots in mathematics, sociology, and anthropology. As identifi ed in the title, the subject of this study aims to delimit destinations which have been researched in a micro-region (Felsőörs, Lovas, Paloznak, Alsóörs, Csopak) of a Balaton Region, Hungary’s number one tourist destination as well as the local destination management organisation “Balaton Riviera”. Analyzing the data we can conclude that our hypothesis posed at the beginning of the research is verifi ed, namely in the case of this micro region the connections among the ac- tors mark the boundaries of the destination. For the time being, the scope of this research is limited to pilot research only, but thanks to sophisticated methodology and soft wares it can be upscaled to manage huge databases as well, and therefore the results achieved herein can be tested elsewhere and generalized.     Fejérkõtõl Tündérvölgyig túramozgalom A mozgalom célja a Balatonföldvári Többcélú Kistérségi Társulás területének természeti, néprajzi és kulturális értékeinek bemutatása. A túra gyalogosan teljesíthetõ idõkorlátozástól és szakaszolástól függetlenül. Az útvonal hosszúsága 80 km. Teljes értékû teljesítésnek azt fogadjuk el ha a túra füzetébe a bejárás során az érintett kódokat átrajzoljátok és dátummal ellátjátok. A túramozgalom a terület jellegébõl adódóan több területen, elsõdlegesen a sûrû beépítettségû balatonparti települések között kényszerûségbõl csak aszfaltozott útvonalon valósulhatott meg. Talán némileg ellensúlyozza ezeket az útvonalakat a Somogyi dombvidéken vezetõ szakasz. A túra során a terepen elhelyezett 3x3-as mátrix táblán egyedi jelölést alkalmaztunk ezeket kell megkeresni és a kódot lemásolni. A kódtáblák helyzetérõl a települések leírásánál található információ. A túraútvonal a SEFAG Zrt. Szántódi Erdészetének vadász területeit jelentõs mértékben érinti! Kérjük, hogy a túra megkezdése elõtt az érvényben lévõ erdõlátogatási korlátozásokról érdeklõdjenek és azokat maradéktalanul tartsák be. Az erdõben ügyeljünk a tisztaságra, ne szemeteljünk és ne feledjük, mi ott csak vendégek vagyunk! A települések ismertetésénél a megtekintésre érdemes látnivalókat felsoroljuk, megadva azok GPS koordinátáit is. A túramozgalom gondozását a Szent Kristóf Természetjáró Egyesület (SZKTE), 8622. Szántód Iskola utca 9. végzi. A túramozgalom füzete ingyenes, az igazoló jelvény kiváltásáért viszont térítést kell fizetni, melynek összegérõl az egyesület ad tájékoztatást. A túramozgalom névadója és kezdõpontja a térség és egyben Somogy-megye legjelentõsebb várromja a Kereki község közelében található Fejérkõ vára. A túra végpontja pedig a Balatonszemes térségében attól délre található erdõ egyik szép völgyérõl kapta a nevét. A túramozgalom útvonalában az idõk során bekövetkezhetnek változások, errõl az SZKTE honlapján adjuk közzé az információkat. Kérjük ennek figyelemmel kisérését, továbbá az esetleges észrevételeket és egyéb hasznos információkat is várjuk.

    C 187/52 EN Official Journal of the European Union 13.6.2017 Communication from the Minister for National Development of Hungary pursuant to Article 3(2) of Directive 94/22/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conditions for granting and using authorisations for the prospection, exploration and production of hydrocarbons (2017/C 187/15) PUBLIC INVITATION TO TENDER FOR A CONCESSION FOR THE PROSPECTION, EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBON UNDER CONCESSION IN THE TAB AREA On behalf of the Hungarian State, the Minister for National Development (‘the Contracting Authority’ or ‘the Minister’) as the minister responsible for mining and for overseeing state-owned assets hereby issues a public invitation to tender for the prospection, exploration and production of hydrocarbon under a concession contract on the basis of Act CXCVI of 2011 on national assets (‘the National Assets Act’), Act XVI of 1991 on Concessions (‘the Concessions Act’) and Act XLVIII of 1993 on mining (‘the Mining Act’), subject to the following conditions. 1. The Minister will publish the invitation to tender, adjudge the bids and conclude the concession contract in coop­ eration with the Hungarian Office for Mining and Geology (Magyar Bányászati és Földtani Hivatal) in accordance with the Concessions Act and the Mining Act. Bids that meet the tender specifications will be evaluated by an Evaluation Committee set up by the Minister. On the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee the Minister will issue the decision awarding the concession, on the basis of which the Minister may then conclude the concession contract with the successful bidder in accordance with Section 5(1) of the Concessions Act (1).

    The prospects of regional market place developments in economic geographical perspective Case study of Balaton Resort Area, Hungary Csilla Nezdei Today’s investments can be accomplished by Geographer, involving numerous sources either with the Hungary aim of stimulating the local economy with an E-mail: [email protected] infrastructural project, the innovative development of a service activity or a land rehabilitation interference. The European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund or the community initiative LEADER can be found among the EU sources. My study introduces the group of the present Hungarian tender sources which, utilising the above mentioned sources, create primarily a basis for preserving the local workplaces with infrastructural investments by assisting the accessibility of local products and producers to the markets. The secondary analysis of the literature sources, city development strategies and the data on webpages of the applications was applied. With my empirical survey I partially keep track of the 2007–2013 EU investments with similar objectives, demonstrating their usefulness. The data of the investments supported by LEADER in the Balaton Accentuated Tourism Zone (BATZ) (sample area) was recorded with the help of interviews made with the representative and employees of the local government.
