Vandervlis appeared in 19 games this season registering 19 points, including a career-high 11 goals.

Jadon Joseph was the September/October winner.

Sensational Skinner: Goaltender Stuart Skinner, who is the all-time leader in franchise saves for the Hurricanes, surpassed the 5,000 save plateau on Saturday, November 25th in Kootenay against the Ice. Skinner posted his third shutout of the season on December 6th making 21-saves against the Red Deer Rebels. It was Skinner’s ninth career shutout bringing into a first place tie all-time in franchise shutouts with Logan Koopmans. Skinner has posted a 5-1-1-0 record in his last seven starts with a 2.72 GAA and a .915 SV% with two shutouts.

Minor Trade: On November 4th, the Hurricanes acquired 19-year-old forward Taylor Ross from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a conditional eighth round draft pick in the 2019 Bantam Draft. Ross was originally selected in the fourth round by the Chiefs in the 2013 Bantam Draft.
