You must be nominated for the exchange programme by your home university. If you have not been nominated, or if we do not have an exchange agreement with your university, you may study at Exeter as a Study Abroad Fee Paying student. What entry requirements do I need to meet? To be eligible to study at the University of Exeter as an exchange/study abroad student you must: • Have the approval of your home university • Have successfully completed one academic year of undergraduate study • Have the equivalent of a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 where the maximum is 4.0 • Meet the University of Exeter’s minimum English language requirements (where applicable) as outlined on the University’s website Application documents and how to apply Your application should be completed online and submitted with the following supporting documents: • Official academic transcript from your home university • Academic reference • Personal statement • Evidence of English language proficiency (where applicable) • Copy of the ID information page of your passport • Study plan Application deadlines • Semester one and full year International Exchange and Study Abroad fee paying applicants: 30 April • Semester one and full year Erasmus applicants: 31 May • Semester two all applicants: 31 October Pre-arrival and orientation The prospect of living and studying in another country can seem daunting but together with our colleagues in the International Student Support team we will provide you with all the information and advice you need to prepare yourself. • Orientation programmes are organised at the start of each semester to help you to get to know the campus, the city and other students • The Global Chums mentoring scheme can match you with a University of Exeter student to help you settle in to university life • A Meet and Greet service is offered from Heathrow Airport taking you direct to campus in September • We offer a range of courses, workshops and tutorials designed to provide help and support for studying in English
