2018-19 Chicago Wolves Game Notes IOWA AT CHICAGO NOVEMBER 17, 2018 7 p.m. CW50 OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE WILD 2018-19 The Iowa Wild barge into Allstate Arena tonight looking like a franchise hungry to earn its first Calder TALE OF THE TAPE Cup playoff berth since moving from Houston to Des Moines in 2013. The Wild share the Central Division lead in points -- Iowa and the Milwaukee Admirals own 21 apiece -- but new head coach Tim REGULAR-SEASON SERIES 0-0-0-0 Iowa | 0-0-0-0 Chicago Army’s team just shut out the Admirals in back-to-back games. The Wild also boast the AHL’s best power play (27.6 percent) and best penalty kill (89.4 percent). Historically, the Wolves have had their way with the Wild. In the first five years of this rivalry, Chicago has posted a .760 winning percentage against Iowa. That chasm wasn’t apparent last year as the teams split their eight-game series and the Wild actually outscored the Wolves 30-28. 10-4-1-0 8-5-0-1 SO DEPENDABLE The Chicago Wolves rank fifth in the American Hockey League in scoring with 3.93 goals per game LEADING SCORERS -- and one reason for this lofty position is the offense’s consistency. The Wolves are the only team in IOWA CHICAGO the Central Division and one of just five in the AHL (Providence, Rochester, Toronto, San Diego) that Skater G A Pts Skater G A Pts have scored at least 2 goals every time out.

ARCHIVES PRINT 13/15/21 1982-83 lVJ.LDIA GUID~ · .. 1982-8) . ; ' \ :ti s~fl' \your host, UMD I[ II[ 1-- UMD is 35 years old this year and if you were to describe its development over the years in one word, that word would certainly be 'growth.' Before UMD became a coordinate campus of the University of Minnesota in 1947, the site of the present day campus was nothing more than brush and woods. By the early 1950s, though, the campus was al- ready taking shape with the Science Building (now called the Chemistry Building) and the Physical Education Building in place. Administrators had a far-reaching campus plan for UMD's orderly development to 1970. That plan envisioned a student body of 3,500 by 1970. More than 5,000 students actually were enrolled by then. Today, as indicated by this year's record enrollment of 7,700 plus students, UMD continues its steady growth. The school offers more instructional programs than ever for both undergraduate and gradu- ate students in six colleges and schools with major fields of study in everything from the natural sciences and social sciences to the humanities and fine arts. UMD offers two years of basic science in the School of Medicine with students transferring to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities School of Medicine following satisfactory completion of UMD's program. Students choose from 72 graduate majors and 1,900 courses. UMD offers four associate (two-year) degrees, 10 bachelor's degrees, six master's degrees in 17 fields and has programs leading to teacher licensure in 41 areas.
