Pinocchio
By Winshluss
This award-winning graphic novel re-imagines Pinocchio as a wordless noir fairy tale, both comic and tragic.
In this dark rendition, a greedy Geppetto builds Pinocchio as a metallic weapon of war, with Jiminy Cockroach a homeless squatter living inside Pinocchio’s skull. Exquisite drawings bring to life a rich tale of greedy fools, lust, sadness, redemption, and hope. As the stories intertwine, they offer subtle political critiques and send-ups of popular culture through characters such as the seven sleazy dwarves.
Teamed with colorist Cizo, Winshluss creates an epic adventure through a lush world. The artwork is pen & ink + watercolor (with paint for larger splash panels). It references a wide range of illustrative styles and history, from the late 18th Century to French film pioneer Georges Méliès, early Disney, and underground comix. DARK, GRAPHIC NOVEL RETELLING critically acclaimed, Pinocchio won the Grand Prize at France’s Angoulême comics festival in 2009 for mature readers

By Kevin Grant Foreword by Franco Nero
The full, vibrant history of the Euro-Western exemplified by Sergio Leone’s Dollars trilogy.
That 60’s series sparked a gold rush, as a legion of European film-makers, many of them sharing the get-rich-quick mentality of Leone’s mercenary anti-heroes, created some of the wildest Westerns ever made.
Cynical and stylish, bloody and baroque, Euro- Westerns replaced Hollywood’s straight- shooting sheriffs with amoral adventurers. This stunningly-illustrated reference guide demonstrates why these films became international box-office sensations. Includes:
