TOWN Versus UNITED ABERYSTWYTH FLINT TOWN Saturday 8th May 2021 OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME SEASON 2020/21 DIGITAL EDITION SPECIAL EDITION DEDICATED TO FAW FAIR PLAY DAY Flint Town United endorses the FAW Respect Campaign PLEASE SHOW RESPECT TO ALL OFFICIALS, STAFF & PLAYERS WELCOME TO THE A warm welcome to the players and officials of Aberystwyth Town, for their second visit of the season ESSITY STADIUM to the Essity Stadium. The first occasion was our last game before the most recent lockdown kicked in, and it was also the live game on Sgorio. We came out 3-0 winners, so a similar result to that would be much appreciated, especially given the incentive for a win today is that we would be guaranteed to finish above the bottom two, which has been our objective all season, despite the fact that there is no relegation. Today is our final home game, and I’m sure I speak for all those involved in the running of the club, when I say we shall all be glad of the break, after what has been a very challenging and arduous season. In reality, of course, work continues to go on behind the scenes, but at least the pressure of preparing for match days is lifted, especially during these strange and difficult times of coping with the various Covid protocols on top of everything else. I took on the role of Covid Officer after the latest return to play, and can safely say it’s an unwanted but necessary task, and one that I hope will soon become redundant, fingers crossed.
