North, Little Horton, and Exchange Wards ; and the President for Bradford Central-Lady Constance electors of the division number 11,607, of whom 973 Shaw-Lefevre. are starred to vote elsewhere, thus reducing the number President for Bradford West-Mrs. Alfred Illingworth. of actual voters to10,634. Pollard Byles, Oakfield. number of possible voters is 12,291. CHURCHES, CHAPELS, AND THEOLOGICAL COLLEGES. CHURCH OF ENGLAND. BRADFORD PARISH UHURCH (St. Peter's).-The present edifice was erected on the site of a church built soon Diocese of Ripon. after the Conquest, and was completed about 1458; the tower fifty years afterwards. The interior of the Bishop-Right Rev. Wm. Boyd Carpenter, D.D. church was re-arranged in 1705 in pursuance of a Residence-The Palace, Ripon. commission granted in that year by Archbishop Bishop Su:ffragan of Richmond-Right Rev. J. J. Sharp, a native of Bradford. The old bells were Pulleine, D.D. re-cast in 1715, the church was re-roofed in 1724, Secretaries-F. D. Wise, Ripon; J. L. Bee, West three new galleries were erected in 1785, 1786, and minster, S. W. 1797, during the incumbency of the Rev. John Registrars - T. Greenwood Teale, Leeds; Francis Crosse. In 1833 the church was fronted with free D. Wise, Ripon. stone and re-slated. A. at the Parish Church, entries of baptisms solemnized Chancellor of the Diocese-'l'he Worshipful T. H. at Holy Trinity Church, Low Moor, and St. James's, Tristram, D.O.L., Q.O. Thornton. The registers of marriages commence in Surreyor of Ecclesiastiral Dilapidations-Cbas. R. 1596, and also the registers of burials.
