The proposed Net CCA of 5000 Ha is catered by two pressure pipe canal systems viz LBC and RBC in proposed RBC command area, an area of 1750 Ha. is fed by RBC Through LBC it is proposed to irrigate an area of 3250 Ha by GCA 7500 Ha Total CCA 5000 Ha Net CCA 5000 Ha Annual irrigation Proposed 5000 Ha Kharif 0 .00 Ha Rabi 5000 Ha Intensity of Irrigation 100% The crop water requirements are worked out for 1 Yrs based on the guide lines suggested in TC No. 25 (with upto date amendments), MPWRD-BODHI The tank is proposed to have a gross storage capacity of 26.246 MCM at FRL of 355.000m. The principle levels of Aulliya Dam are as follows. Top Bund Level 358.000 m Full Reservoir Level 355.000 m Max water Level 355.000 m Lowest sill Level 346.100 m The Submergence area at FRL is 487.06 Ha out of which 352.26 Ha is the cultivated land, 32.182 Ha is uncultivated land, 48.018 Ha is Govt. Land and the 54.60 Ha is the forest area. 1.6 Domestic water supply In addition to Irrigation facility, the project also envisages supplying 0.63 MCM of water for Domestic needs of 10 villages of Khalwa tehsil for a projected population of 18579 persons by year 2025. 1.7 Alternates of Dam Sites Two alternates have been studied for Dam alignment near Aulliya & Roshani village. The Dam alignment near Roshani village is found feasible form the storage point of view, command area served and less forest submergence. 1.8 The main components of the Aulliya Dam 1.8.1 Earth Dam The total length of Earth dam is 1782.00 m and the maximum height of dam is 20.80 m with respect to deepest river bed level 337.50 m. Repor- Summary / Divya / doc. 1.8.2 Spillway Alternate studies Made: i) Cost comparison has been made for type of gates i.e. Vertical & Radial gate. On companson it is found that Radial gate is found economical & the same is adopted. ii) Alternates have been worked by varying the gate height & water way. On comparison it is found that 6 gates of size 10m x 5m is found economical & the same is adopted. iii) Alternates have been worked out for central & flank spillway with Radial gates. On comparison it is found that Central spillway is economical compared to flank spillway & the same is adopted. The Estimated SPF is 1073.63 cumecs. A central gated spillway of length 72.50m is proposed between R.D. 1340.00 m to 1412.50m. 6 Radial steel gates of size 10 x 5 m are proposed over the body wall with 5 piers of 2.5 m thickness to pass the flood discharge. 1.8.3 Non over Flow Non over flow section of length 10.0m is proposed on either side of spillway. 1.8.4 Irrigation sluice On Right flank Irrigation Sluice is proposed at RD 1573 m to irrigate 5000 Ha.1.65m x 1.35m of sluice barrel is proposed to carry design discharge of 2.718 cumecs. 1.8.5 Canal System The project covers 5000 Ha of Net Culturable Command Area that lies on the Right and Left bank of the Ghorapachhar river. Right bank canal takes off from RD 1573.0 m. The service area is 5000 Ha served by 40 Km long canal. The distribution of water from canal is facilitated by pressure and 21 villages namely Pipliya, Mamado, Dhawardi, Ranahi, JamuniyaSarsari, Tigariya, Hasanpura, Khamlay, Timarni, Roshni, Barakund Salidhana, Siralliya, Langoti, Dabiya, Padlya, Khorda, Patalda, Itwa, Kumbidhana, Tawkhedi. Rabi Crops such as wheat, gram & vegetables are predominatly cultivated in the command area. Kharif crops are sown in small percentage of area. Therefore, taking into consideration the present cultivation and also the suggestion of DDA- Khandwa district, the scheme is designed to provide irrigation to 0 Kharif crops and 5000 Rabi crops. The proposed Net CCA is 5000 Ha and the intensity of irrigation is 100%. 1.9 Following are the financial Parameters. The Total cost of the project is estimated based in WRD USR in force from 1.4.16 it requires investment of Rs. 16507.99 lakhs. The breakup of which is as below.
