The people of all nations saw the STAR in the sky. Most people didn’t see it as very special. There were three people who saw it as both beautiful and special. They decided to follow where it led. They followed it for days and days. It bought them to a small town called . The STAR rested above an ordinary place for animals. There they found . This was the very first . — Maggie Larsen

The people of long ago saw love in a special STAR. Not everyone could just go and follow a STAR. There were three leaders who decided to check out what this STAR meant. They followed this super big star for days. It brought them to a tiny town. There they found their answer. — Luke Peruzzi

The people all over the world could feel the STAR in their heart. They knew the STAR was special. They knew they needed to follow it because the STAR was unique. Not everyone could just leave their homes and families. Leaders went to check out what the STAR meant for the world. The leaders traveled a long distance and finally came to the place that the STAR was pointing to. They found the treasure that God had sent. God had sent His LOVE in the person of his son. A cute young lamb and her friend mouse and a small buck saw a beautiful star. It was getting dark, but the star made it bright because of the way it glowed so brightly. Made of God’s love and grace, it softly hummed. They followed it. Finally, they saw the Savior and smiled. — Hope Cleereman

I think the reason Jesus came into the world as a baby was, he wanted to experience everything that a normal person would go through. Jesus came to earth because he is the one that forgave our sins and taught us about living a holy life so we would not sin against him. When he came to earth to be part of a family he showed us how to love and respect all people. Jesus showed us how to live a good life! — Cody Joas, grade 6

If you came as an adult you wouldn’t have been able to experience life as a child and all the hard experiences there are in growing up. The star of Bethlehem is a glowing miracle. It is a bright compass of the sky leading all believers to the birth of a savior. It is a light in a world of darkness that needs saving. I think the star is a kind of diamond shape, shining brightly as the moon at full, like the angels triumphant from heaven above. It would sound like a choir of angels praising the new born king with songs of joy and glad tidings. I think the star of Bethlehem has pointed edges on every side. I think the color of the Bethlehem star is yellow because every star you see is usually yellow.
