Zeiformes and Gasterosteiformes
906 Zeiformes and Gasterosteiformes Selected meristic characters in species belonging to the orders Zeiformes and Gasterosteiformes whose adults or larvae have been collected in the study area. Classification sequence follows Eschmeyer (1990), but see discussion of classification on next page. Gasterosteiformes are not closely related to Zeiformes (sensu Johnson and Patterson, 1993), are more closely related to the Perciformes, and are treated here simply as an entry in a sequence of orders.
