But despite being wonderful, it has now been surpassed by this Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans . The best video game of all time. This masterpiece has been developed by an Italian video game development studio called Trinity Team (you've probably caught the pun already) and it brings together every single aspect that we could possibly want in a game based on Bud and Terence . It's a true beat'em up inspired by their movies . In other words, we'll have to kick ass defying the laws of gravity with that calmness and lack of haste that define these two guys that never killed anyone in any of their movies. We'll control both Bud Spencer and Terence Hill punching and slapping all over the place, whether beating up a few gangsters that don't want to return a mini care they've stolen or kicking the ass of Mezcal's henchmen that are harassing the peaceful valley inhabitants. But we'll also be able to play different mini-game and drive our favorite buggy , as well as enjoying legendary movie scenes: beers and sausages, card games, quire rehearsals. And the best thing is that all the scenarios faithfully recreate the settings of movies of the likes of Watch Out, We're Mad! or They Call Me Trinity, also making use of the original soundtracks with all their great songs. Here's your menu: a salad of beans and slaps. Main features. It's a pity that Bud Spencer died before being able to witness such a magnificent game. He would have been able to enjoy all these features: Beat'em up arcade game similar to those of the 80s' with huge pixels. Forget about augmented reality and all that modern nonsense. No need to develop any kind of special AI system because we've got the unbeatable Bud & Terence fighting style. Possibility to play in collaborative mode : just choose who you want to kick ass with. There's quite a peculiar story behind the development of Slaps and Beans as it started to shape up by means of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. A total of 6,808 people put together 212,557€ for this project. From there on, the developers were able to finish of this 80s' style arcade game that's absolutely perfect. The Movies of Bud Spence & Terence Hill. Their first official movie they stared in together, a classic spaghetti western. Ironically it was Hill who started out as the harsher character while Bud played the more amicable guy. It was an entertaining enough movie, but if you're looking for the humourous slapstick comedy we have come to expect from these guys, you won't get it. Unlike Trinity, it's a very serious Western with little in the way of humour, although I do find the shoot outs amusing as the guns seem to fire off more like cap guns than real guns. What intrigues me here is the voice dubbing. Bud was dubbed by the man who was to do his voice in most of his movies; Glauco Onorato. Hill usually did his own English voice dubbing, but in this one he has someone else doing his voice, a much colder and harsher voice to match his character. I guess it's not surprising that they needed to do that, otherwise his character, Cat would just not have the same menacing aura to him. Perhaps for the same reasons Bud is normally voiced by Glauco. This was the first in a series of three movies using these two characters. Ace High (1968) Rating = 3 stars. Carries on almost immediately after "God forgives I don't", with the same characters, although this one gives Eli Wallach top billing. Wallach is entertaining as a roguish, but likable criminal who continually manages to con Hill and Bud to do jobs for him. Climaxes with a sting operation where they attempt to take advantage of a corrupt casino. I'd say this is better than the previous movie. Boot Hill (1969) Unfortunately this is an appalling third in the trilogy of "God forgives, I don't" movies. I found this hard to watch due to the constant closeups, which often made things a blur. Yes, that old guy with the ridiculously raspy voice really is Max from "Hart to Hart" and Victor Buono (Batman's King Tut) also makes appearances. The Call me Trinity (1970) Rating = 4 stars. Probably their best known movie with the classic character of Trinity (played by Hill) who spends most of the movie wearing dusty falling apart clothes that never get washed even after he's taken a bath. Spencer plays Bambino, a horse thief, who has managed to score himself a job as sheriff in a town. He is Trinity's brother and doesn't want him around, thus starting the amusing tradition in their movies where Spencer's characters usually find Hill's characters irritating. One of the delights in this one is little known actor Remo Capitani who plays the Bandit leader Mezcal. His comedic reactions are hilarious when he is slapped or pummeled by Bambino. Trinity is Still My Name (1971) Rating = 3 stars. Plenty of fun and laughs to be had in this one too, but it does tend to get a little dull in the 2nd half. In the previous Trinity movie they were helping out a group of Mormons. This time they end up defending monks in a Catholic monastery. Blackie the Pirate (1971) Rating = 2 stars. When I first watched this one in 1987, I of course expected a comedy with both Hill and Spencer as the main characters, getting up to their usual hyjinx.

    Special Ferdinando Baldi Memorial Issue (1927-2007) WAI! Ferdinando Baldi Memorial Issue The Swingin’ Doors Ferdinando Baldi was born on May 9, 1927 in Cava dei Tirreni, Salerno, Italy. He started his film career in the early 1950s with a number of forgotten low budget films and musical comedies. His break came in 1960 as the co-director of "David and Goliath" which was part biblical epic and part sword and sandal, and starred Orson Welles. The success of this film saw Baldi become strongly associated with the sword and sandal film genre for the next few years, and he would go on to direct a variety of genre films such as "I, Tartari" in 1961, again with Welles as the star. He also directed "Son of Cleopatra" (1964) with another American actor Mark Damon. 1966 found him busy filming "Massacre in the Black Forest" and "The Shadow of Eagles" both with Cameron Mitchell and the low budget spy film "Suicide Mission to Singapore". He also directed young Franco Nero in "Texas, Addio". With the explosion of the Spaghetti western films Baldi became known as one of the leading directors in the genre. "Little Rita of the West" (1967) was one of his most unique projects which was a western musical starring Rita Pavone and one of the early films of actor Terence Hill. In 1968 he filmed "Preparati la bara!" (Viva Django) which was a follow up to Sergio Corbucci’s "Django". It starred Terence Hill, who dramatically resembled Nero, in a straight forward role. 1969 saw "Gunman of the Ave Maria" ("The Forgotten Pistolero") with a plot taken from a Greek tragedy.

He said the misuse involved hundreds of thousands of dollars. Becker and Donohue also suggested that all costs relating to transportation matters be paid out of the special Transportation Fund. Some of those expenses now come from the General Fund. The mentioned specifically pension costs for Department of Transportation employees. %v Gov. William A. O’Neill has requested that $30 million in DOT pension and fringe benefit payments be transferred from the General Fund, which is now running a $116 million deficit, to the Transportation Fund, which now has a $78 million surplus.

Im Falle unseres Bloggers war es die Begegnung mit der Visual Effects Legende Douglas Trumbull, der anlässlich der jährlich in Stuttgart stattfindenden FXM (einer Mes- se für visuelle Effekte) in die Landeshaupt- stadt angereist war. Trumbull gilt als einer der Gurus in Sachen Large Format Fotogra- fie, arbeitete er doch fast immer mit 65mm- Film, um seine visuellen Effekte zu produzie- ren. Ohne ihn gäbe es die überwältigenden Bilder in Filmen wie 2001: ODYSSEE IM WELTRAUM, BLADE RUNNER, UNHEIM- LICHE BEGEGNUNG DER DRITTEN ART oder STAR TREK: DER FILM nicht – alle- samt Filme, die Kultstatus besitzen und die das Kino revolutionierten. Aber Trumbull ist nicht nur ein Experte für visuelle Effekte, er ist auch Regisseur. LAUTLOS IM WELT- RAUM und PROJEKT BRAINSTORM sind neben etlichen Kurz- und Ride-Filmen seine einzigen Spielfilme bisher. Wie Trumbull im Gespräch mit Wolfram Hannemann verriet, wird sich das aber bald ändern. Trumbull ist dabei einen Science-Fiction-Film zu realisie- ren, mit dem er sein neues, patentiertes “Showscan Digital” der Öffentlichkeit vor- stellen will – ein System, das Bilder unter- schiedlicher Frame-Raten kombinieren kann, um damit speziell Action-Szenen eine voll- kommen neue Präsenz zu verleihen.

First up: I promised to keep everyone informed on the new Terence Hill TV western “Doc West” being filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I received a Cast Sheet for the day of October 21st from Neil Summers. Cast list includes Terence Hill – Doc West, Paul Sorvino – Sheriff Basehart, Silver (the kid) – Benjamin Petry. Among others mentioned are former Hill stock players from the “Lucky Luke” TV series, Boots Sutherland – Nathan Mitchell and Adam Taylor – Victor Baker. It seems they are making the sequel at the same time, which at the present time is called “The Revenge of Doc West”. I’ll keep you posted on further developments. We finish up the Lars Bloch interview this issue. Special thanks to my friend Nils Markvardsen for allowing us to carry it and it has been a very interesting reading. Gracias amigo! Part of life we have to all face as the Boot Hill section has grown to be a major part of the fanzine. One thing about reading a person’s obituary is that you find out information you never knew before or were not sure of. One find was that actor Don Galloway of ‘Ironside’ fame was one of Frank’s gang shown during the flashback scene in ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. The mystery remains on how and why he was involved in the film.
