Dear Group 2 Families,

Welcome to the 7th of The Meridian School’s Summer Quest Program! This week’s theme is “Meridian Olympiad!”, and we will do lots of fun, sporty things. On Monday we will play at the school and do some cool arts. On Tuesday we will do a field trip to the Salmon Bay School, and do sports at the Athletic Field, and play at Salmon Bay Park. On Wednesday a guest teacher Warren Woo will teach us some dancing. On Thursday we will go to jump at the Pump it up! in Kirkland. On Friday we will have a Taekwondo lesson at the Taekwondo Institute, and swim at the Wallingford Wading Pool, so bring your suit and towel!

Meet the Group 2 Team:

Emmi: This is my first summer at the Meridian Summer Quest. I moved to Seattle a ago from , which is why I speak with a funny accent. I’m a primary school and music teacher, and have been working full for 6 . Before that I worked for years at various summer camps. In Seattle I work as a substitute teacher, and teach Finnish to kids and adults. I’m also just finnishing my yoga teacher training. I’m really excited about this Summer Quest! We will have so much fun together!

Bryan: This will be my fourth year at the Meridian Summer Quest. I look forward to being in group two and working with your child(ren). My favorite field trip is going to the beach. Nothing beats the combination of sun, water, and fun! During the school year I am an English Language Learner Coach at Kent Elementary. Before that, I have over 15 years of experience working with students in various settings from early head start to high school. I look forward to getting to know your child(ren) and all the wonderful memories we will create together.
