This Erratum amends this mistake. NEW SOUTH WALES GOVERNMENT GAZETTE No. 108 6 July 2001 LEGISLATION 5225 Rules On Friday 29 June, 2001, I, Ingrid Moses, Vice Chancellor of the University of New England, note the following: A. By section 28 and 29, University of New England Act 1993 and By-Law 16, University of New England By-Laws 1993, the Council of the University of New England is empowered to make rules not inconsistent with the University of New England Act or any By-Laws with respect to: a. the management, good government and discipline of the University; and b. the imposition and payment of penalties for parking and traffic infringements; B. By section 17, University of New England Act, the Council may, in relation to any matter or class of matters, or in relation to any activity or function of the University, by resolution, delegate all or any of its functions (except that power of delegation) to any member or committee of the Council or to any authority or officer of the University or to any other person or body prescribed by the by-laws; C. By By-law 16(2), University of New England By-Laws 1993, the Council may empower the Vice- Chancellor to make rules about any subject matter for or with respect to which the Council may make rules; D. By a resolution dated 23 February 2001 the Council delegated to the Vice-Chancellor its power to make rules not inconsistent with the Act or the By-laws made under the Act with respect to the following matters: a. the management, good government and discipline of the University in so far as they relate to regulating parking and traffic in the University; and b. the imposition and payment of penalties for parking and traffic infringements, and pursuant to that delegation, I now make the following Rule. 1. This rule is called the University of New England Traffic and Parking Rule. 2. This rule commences on Thursday 19 July, 2001 UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND TRAFFIC AND PARKING RULE Traffic and Parking Rules Preliminary and Definitions 1. These rules may be cited as the "University of New England Traffic and Parking Rules", and are made in exercise of the powers of the Vice-Chancellor conferred by the Council of the University of New England on the 23rd of February, 2001 and also in exercise of all rights of the University of New England as owner or controller or manager of its land.
