[email protected] St. Francis Caracciolo, born in the kingdom of Naples; was one of the founders of the Order of Clerks Regular, who in turn watched in perpetual adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. His short life of forty years was profitable in the sight of God. He edified by his holy life, not only Naples and Rome, but also distant Spain. He died on June 4, 1608, and was canonized by Pope Pius VII.     CONFIRMATION December 1, 2020 Dear Parents and Students, You have elected to register your son/daughter for the St. Agnes Christian Formation program this year. When registering your son/daughter it is stated that our Confirmation program is a two-year program. This program challenges him or her to grow in his or her understanding of the Catholic faith and his or her personal relationship with God. There are several points to make you aware of in preparation for Confirmation (which starts in 8th grade with the student receiving the Sacrament with the completion of 9th grade studies) (due to pandemic this school year completion of 10th grade)). Successful completion of the curriculum includes once a month catechesis, service to others, and spending time with God in prayer. The greatest form of prayer is the celebration of the Mass. As Catholics, we are encouraged to attend weekly Mass in order to recognize God’s love more fully in the Word and Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. While the pandemic poses a particular challenge at this time, students and their families are highly encouraged to either attend weekly Mass in person (Precautions are in place to ensure everyone’s safety) or to seek out an online Mass to encourage growth in love for Christ in preparation for Confirmation. Below is a list of other expectations. Remember, these “assignments” are designed to support our students in their desire to know, love, and serve our wonderful God while helping to prepare them for the reception of the Sacrament. This process for being Confirmed in the Spirit is a commitment from the parish, support from parents, and a commitment from the student that wishes to be Confirmed.

For greater detail of their lives, the sources now available on the Internet are extensive and we encourage you to explore them.2 As it stands, the Martyrology is eminently suited to a brief daily reflection that will inspire us to greater fervor, even to imitate these conspicuously holy men and women in whatever measure our own state in life affords us through the grace and providence of Almighty God.

FADM members and their guests shared a Sunday dinner and a celebration of their heritage. There October 4,: were many artifacts and products from Abruzzo on display. Guests dipped their bread in olive oil imported Gen Mbrship Meeting from Turrivalignani in the province of Pescara. Nominations for Office Italian American Club Livonia Each table had a table captain who was responsible for creating a centerpiece that represented their heritage. Fr. 6:30 PM dinner Enzo Addari and Antonio DiGiorgio had a difficult time selecting a winner among the beautiful displays. They 7:30 PM meeting chose the display created by Virginia and Gino DiCarlo which consisted of various clay pots which were used as October 16: cooking vessels in Abruzzo and a small broom made of straw which was used to sweep out the hearth (lo scu- FADM Board Meeting pin’). The items struck a chord with everyone who had emigrated from Abruzzo. IACS—6:30 PM Enzo Paglia, president of the FADM, presented a brief history of the FADM.
