High near 80 and wind from the SE at 10-15 mph. Summary: After tee times were delayed by 4 hours, 20 minutes due to thunderstorms in the area, tournament officials cancelled the final round at 1:30 p.m. CT and declared the champion would be second-round leader Tom Lehman. The win is Lehman’s 11th of his PGA TOUR Champions career and he moves to No. 10 in the Charles Schwab Cup. In 2017, two 54-hole tournaments were shortened to 36 holes due to weather. o Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai – The final round was cancelled due to wind gusts of 45 mph. Second-round leader Bernhard Langer was declared the champion over Fred Couples. o Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge – The first round was cancelled due to inclement weather. Carlos Franco and Vijay Singh went on to win the 36-hole tournament. Tom Lehman, 66-65 – 131 (-13) The win is the 11th in Lehman’s PGA TOUR Champions career. He is T24 on the Tour’s all-time wins list. The last time Lehman won a weather-shortened tournament was in 1991, when the final round was cancelled and he won a nine-hole, three-man playoff at the Web.com Tour’s Gulf Coast Classic in Gulfport, Mississippi. Lehman is one of 14 players that has won on the Web.com Tour, PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions. He is the only player that has been named Player of the Year on all three tours. o PGA TOUR Champions: 2011, 2012 o PGA TOUR: 1996 o Web.com: 1991 Lehman won in his seventh start at the Principal Charity Classic, and all 20 of his rounds have been under par. He has seven top-10s and he has a 68.43 scoring average since the tournament moved to Wakonda Club in 2013. Lehman won the Charles Schwab Cup in 2011 and 2012, and he ranks No. 4 all-time in weeks as the Charles Schwab Cup leader (32). This season, he has five top-10s and he is now No. 10 in the standings. Bernhard Langer, 64-69 – 133 (-11) The T2 finish is Langer’s fourth runner-up of the season, bringing his career total to 31. It is the sixth season he has had at least four second-place finishes. With the $117,250 payday, Langer moved to No. 1 in the Charles Schwab Cup for the third week this season. Since 2008, Langer's first full season on PGA TOUR Champions, Langer has topped the standings 124 of 268 weeks (46.27%). Scott Parel, 67-66 – 133 (-11) The T2 finish is the second of the season for Parel. In April, he lost in a playoff to Steve Flesch at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. He is now No. 13 in the Charles Schwab Cup with $455,785. Glen Day, 65-68 – 133 (-11) Day’s T2 finish is his best in 55 starts on PGA TOUR Champions. He has three top-10s this season and moved to No. 26 in the Charles Schwab Cup with $308,892. Woody Austin, 65-68 – 133 (-11) Austin’s T2 finish is his best result since he lost in a playoff at the 2016 Boeing Classic. He has three top-10s this season and he moved to No. 24 in the Charles Schwab Cup with $313,236. Clark Dennis, 69-66 – 135 (-9) With his eighth-place finish, Dennis earns a spot in the next cosponsored event, the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison, Wisconsin. Dennis earned entry into this tournament based on his T7 finish at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, which he played in as a Monday qualifier. .
